It was very helpful to read reviews of these basketball systems and know the potential pitfalls. That said, the only issue I had was that the box arrived with several corners with big holes, and a piece fell out as it was being unloaded. I was prepared for missing pieces, but there were none. I found the directions to be pretty good, pieces were grouped and marked nicely. It took me (mom) about 5 hours to assemble it alone, with the help of a plastic chair where it said to use 2 people - that was a little tricky. I have 2 boys, 11 and 9, both of whom can easily change the height. They have been playing on it every day and love it. Thank goodness for Competitive Edge Products who slashed at least $100 off the prices I was finding elsewhere.
