This lifetime 4 inch sleeve will basically make your in ground system portable when needed.

I was amazed at how well the sleeve holds the pole in place with the wedge installed. There wasnt much more effort involved with using the sleeve. The only difference I saw was that you had to wait 4 hours for the concrete to set up with the sleeve in place. Then you pour concrete in the pole to make it stronger. I chose to attach the bottom two sections of the post together and pour the concrete 5 deep. This way the bottom joint is stronger. I also used caulking around the top of the sleeve. I like the idea that I can move the system now if needed.

I debated for quite a while if I should or should not utilize an in-ground sleeve for my new basketball system. Knowing that perhaps someday I may want or need to replace my basketball system, I wanted to ensure that I had an easy method to install a new basketball system without breaking apart the cement. This ground sleeve serves that purpose. If I should ever want to remove, move or replace my basketball system, I will simply be able to remove the basketball system from the in-ground sleeve. The in-ground sleeve will remain in place and a new basketball system can be installed in minutes. The in-ground sleeve was easy to install and did not add to my installtion time. The directions were easy to follow. Overall a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this product for the purpose I described.

I would definitely use again. Made the setup easy as I was able to line this sleeve up in the hole instead of having to wrestle with a 11 pole prior to pouring the cement. Well constructed and looking forward to when I have to remove the pole in many years, that I wont have to deal with the concrete as the pole will pull out easy. Pole is very solid in the ground and doesnt move inside the sleeve. I did put clear caulk around the sleeve and the pole so rain water would not get in the sleeve. Not sure if that was necessary or not.
