I like the reversibility of the poles to allow for water volleyball as well. The height of the net in a 3.5 to 4 foot deep pool is perfect. The only gripe I have about this product is that the fabrication of the poles is metal and the poles are not painted /treated inside the poles. This allows for rust. The poles actually rusted out after two years. I totally “refabbed” the poles out of PVC. That was time consuming to reduce the pole size to fit backboard supports. But, they have worked for the last two years. If you decided to do this, I would recommend the fabrication of the poles being changed to PVC 90…which I think is a lot sturdier than the PVC you get at Home Depot or Lowes. Now, I do have a salt water pool, so that may have contributed to the quick rust out. This also caused rusting on the outside of the poles and the actual rim (even though treated with paint). So, I would suggest using PVC90 and coating the rim with rubberized marine paint and fabricating the supports out of solid plastic (from poles to base and on back of backboard). If you did that, I think you’d have the greatest poolside product around. We get up to 20 -25 kids in the pool playing water volleyball and our shooting baskets. Lastly, great idea having two goals. Makes for a more realistic game, than just having one goal. I didn’t write a review because I wasn’t sure if you wanted people seeing the comments about the fabrication. I think it is a great product that could use a little improvement.
