Spalding / Huffy 8839S Basketball Accessories Converter Bracket Features and Specs:
- Adopts backboards to 3.5" diameter round poles, roof, or wall.
- Fits all Huffy Sports and most Spalding residential backboards (see chart below).
- Basketball Backboard Bracket offers a 3 ft. height adjustment range in 6" increments.
- Provides approximately 2 ft. of offset from pole / wall when the bracket is parallel with the ground. Off-set will very depending on height.

Of the 3 options for your basketball court (portable, inground, or converter bracket) the converter bracket option is the quickest to set up and consumes the least amount of space.
This chart below shows each and every Spalding and Huffy backboard and rim combo currently being manufactured or sold. They have the option of being mounted to a wall, roof, or pole. They range from 54" to 44" in acrylic, polycarbonate, and plastic. The chart also shows that Lifetime brand brackets do not work on Spalding systems.
