Many people have become familiar with the high-quality brand from Kodiak Tents; however, some people do not yet realize that Kodiak actually have two different tent designs. One of the tent designs, for which they are also most well known for, is the flex-bow tent. The other design is called the cabing tent. We will quickly describe both options so you understand the terminology when you are shopping.

Kodiak Flex-Bow Tents

The flex-bow design is the easy to pick out as it has the fewest poles to make up the tent frame. The flex-box is called that because of the rounded poles on either end of the tent and the flex of the poles when the tent is set up. This canvas tent, unlike the cabin tent is easily set up, typically needing only one person to do so. Timing for set up of this tent can vary from person to person, but generally, it is set up within 10 minutes, possibly much quicker.

Kodiak Cabin Tents

The cabin tent design is a little less known than the flex-bow design, but just as durable. Cabin tents from Kodiak are easily picked out due to their much more in-depth pole structure design. Cabin tents will have many more poles and a large door opening on the side of the tent. Cabin tents typically require 2 or 3 people at least to set up due to the additional poles that need to be positioned.

Kodiak tents are used frequently in the Burning Man event each year. The tents are sturdy and heavy-duty. They do well in high-wind areas and are also very breathable for great ventillation in hot temperatures. In places where higher winds are expected from time to time, Lifetime storage sheds have built-in features to help secure the unit to the ground. The floor, in this case, is specifically designed for this purpose. On the end floor panels of the shed, there are areas in each corner that can have an anchor bolt pushed through to anchor the shed to the ground. Please note that these anchor bolts neede to anchor the shed will vary depending on the material you are anchoring the shed to, and the size of shed you are trying to anchor. Thus, these bolts are not included in the purchase of any Lifetime shed; they must be purchased from a local hardware store. So, using this feature will help you shed hold its position better in areas with strong winds.

Lifetime Storage Shed Base Requirement

The floors of Lifeime plastic sheds are 3/4-inch thick. They are not sufficiently strong to bear weight. The shed must be supported underneath by a rigid surface that can support the weight of the shed and the contents of the shed. Typically, the surface used by most customers is a cement slab. However, a wood frame work can also be effective for support of the shed. Another insteresting option that might work in other instances is a structure of cinder blocks. In this type of design, the cinderblocks are set into the ground with an entirely level surface. The blocks can then be filled in with gravel to keep them in position and support the shed in the empty spaces of the cinder blocks. In any case, the floor is not weight-bearing and thus must have additional support.

Wall, Floor, and Roof Structure

Lifetime sheds are designed with a paneling system. Adjacent panels interlock and fasten together. This type of design allows Lifetime sheds to easily be extendable, or modular in function. All Lifetime sheds – except the 7-foot wide models and model 6413 – can be extended in 2.5-foot increments. Creating a shed at the desired lengths is simply a function of choosing a desired base model dimension and adding extension kits as necessary to get to the desired length.

Lifetime garden boxes are a innovative new product from Lifetime Products. I recently purchased 2 of these boxes for our backyard garden. Last year we started what is commonly called square-foot gardening. The idea behind this gardening technique is that traditional gardening wastes upwards of 75% of available space for both walking space and spacing between plants. Our first attempts with Lifetime Gardening Boxes

We have had a great deal of success in our first planting attempt. We have upwards of 30 corn stalks in merely half of the Lifetime garden box alone. We also have 4 pepper plants and 8 square plants all in the same planter box as the corn. In another Lifetime planter box we have 8 tomato plants, 4 more pepper plants, and a pumpkin vine. Techniques for making Lifetime gardening boxes work for you

First of all, do not concern yourself so much with the recommended planting quantities and distances; generally speaking if there is enough space to grow the plant and the produce of the plant, you can plant away. Lastly, always remember to grow the plants up and rarely, if ever, out. Typically, this is best done using some sort of caging. We cage everything that does not support itself, like corn stalks. So, we cage the tomatoes, we cage the cucumbers, we cage the peas, beans, and just about everything else we can. Lifetime purchased a company they had been making the kayaks for due to their wide appeal and great quality. These kayaks feature a polyethylene plastic hull and a sit-on-top design. The sit-on-top design differs from other kayaks due to how the rider is positioned in relation to the kayak. So a sit-on-top kayak means that the riders legs are exposed and free; as opposed to a sit-in kayak where the riders legs are enclosed in the kayak itself.
