I've used this tent on three separate occasions this season. Great tent for overlanding. Easy to set up and well thought out. I can set it up in under a half hour by myself. The zippers are good. It is triple stitched where needed and double stitched every where else. We've been using this tent with a wood stove and would definitely recommend a hot mat (heat resistant) under the stove as the floor is not heat resistant. It is well made, roomy and comfortable. Love it!I've tested this tent for almost a month in my back yard and it's been great!We had 40 degree to 80 degree weather with some days of high wind, rain, and some sunny and calm. My thoughts so far; it does well in the rain (no leaks), it can handle the wind, and if you open the ventilation in a hot day it's ok, but it is definitely hotter inside than outside.The tent is meant for cold weather though, and it did well in 40 degrees. I used a space heater and it was able to keep the tent at 65 degrees all night without any issues. I also purchased and used a tent stove, which is a bit harder to regulate so it made the tent too hot, but it worked great too!Easy to setup and take down. Did it all by myself and it takes 2-3 hours to put it up and depending on how you setup the inside 1-5 hours to bring it down (I had a tent stove, cot, table, etc. and it took 5).I'm heading to Fairbanks Alaska soon so I'll let you all know how it fairs in some of the coldest temps on the planet! ;)That said, I think it will do pretty well! This is my 2nd White Duck purchase (1st was a Prota 7x9) Quality is good, set up is a breeze. Took me 20 mins the 1st time right outta the box. Next time I'll do it faster now that I know how to do it. Plenty of room for 4 or 5 people + gear. We'll be using it for more of a warming/eating/card playing area. The side walls are about 2ft tall and the ceiling tapers in, so the headroom is a little tight once you go past the center. It will fit a 6' table, but it'll be tight walking around it and you'll be rubbing the tent fabric (but it won't leak on you). If you're gathering around in camp chairs or sitting on the floor, it'll be perfect and you'll have plenty of room to move. Knowing what I know now, for what I'll be using it for, I would have gone with the 16' instead. Overall I'm happy with it and it'll be perfect for when I go on solo car camping trips! No issues./*-Edit: 3/29/2023: Had this set up in my yard for about a week now. It's endured 30+MPH winds, rain and a snow(about an inch)/sleet storm. No issues at all. I just have to add a silicone boot over the stove pipe to stop rain from dripping on the steel stove. I doubt this would be an issue with a titanium or stainless steel stove. We’ve taken this tent on a couple of extended camp outs in the mountains in rainy and below freezing temps. We managed to set the tent up in the dark while raining with no problems. We didn’t experience any leaks, rips or tears in the canvas. The tent did a good job of keeping out the elements. I read a few bad reviews (regarding rips, tears and zipper issues) and I’m not sure why they had these problems but nothing is indestructible. If you don’t take care of something your chances of a fail increase. Canvas is a fabric and even the strongest of fabrics aren’t as strong as steel. If you do things like make sure the tent is dry when you put it up, don’t put it under trees where branches may fall on it, don’t leave it out in 100+ degree weather for days at a time you will dramatically increase your chances of success. Even Springbar tents require some reasonable level of care. It’s a quality tent (yes the zippers are good) that should last you years if properly taken care of. Make sure you 'break it in' but setting it up on a nice sunny day, get the garden hose and season the tent by hosing it down. Guarantee you it won't leak in the worst of storms. This tent is fantastic for camping in the snow/cold when you add a wood burning stove. The setup process is straightforward and simple to follow, but it does take a while (depending on the ground surface it takes me about 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. So it's not great if you're just camping for 1 night, but for 2 or more it's fantastic. It handles heavy snow loads and high winds well. Inside there is easily enough space for a couple and all their gear. You can make 3 fit but it's tight. I would go up in size to the 12 foot if you want to sleep more people inside. Currently sitting in the West TX ice storm, warm and cozy thanks to my 10-ft Olive Green bell tent. Set up was easy by myself as a solo traveler. I did follow the canvas seasoning instructions and saturated it and let it dry prior to moving my gear in.So far the yurt has stood tall with no issues in the Chihuahua Desert, withstanding wind gusts of 40-50 mph and now under 0.10” of ice. As a full time traveler currently stranded by the weather, this tent has become home.Pros: easy to set up, ample room for 1 traveler + 3 dogs, waterproof, weatherproofCons: Fire retardant fabric not available in this size.
