Great Stove Mat

Excellent product. I’m glad I went with the Kodiak branded version as I read a lot of negative reviews of the Amazon knock offs. I ran a Colorado Cylinder stove on this mat for 3 nights, had it red hot a few times and no issues with the Mat not holding up. I did put down a canvas tarp below the matt for a little extra protection of the tent floor. Shipping was fast and on time and Competitive Edge had the best price for this Kodiak product. It’s a piece of safety equipment so while it is a little pricey compared to other mats you can get on Amazon I feel like you get what you pay for and it’s not an area I would want to skimp on. In one instance I had a few coals pop onto the mat and it didn’t phase it one bit. Very happy with Competitive Edge and my Kodiak Canvas products.

Q: Do you know how many degrees this mat will tolerate?

A: There's no published degree rating on this mat. Having used it many times with a hot fire in the stove it gets warm, but since it is on the ground and he rises I have never felt it hot enough that it's even too hot to touch.
