Kodiak Canvas 1651 Wall Enclosure

The new Canvas Wall Enclosure Accessory for the 12 x 9 Cabin fits Model 6133. This enclosure is canvas. The older style enclosure 0650 was not canvas, but a polydenier. This canvas version has been designed as an upgrade to the older design functioning and looking better.

Enhance your living space or create the perfect leisure area with a walled enclosure for the 8x8.5 ft. deluxe awning on your cabin tent (model #6133). Now made with the same Hydra-shield cotton canvas as your tent. The bottom has a poly fringe “sod cloth” to help seal out crawling critters. Six large, screened windows offer openness and airflow. The no-see-um screen mesh keeps out the smallest bugs. Zip the windows down for privacy, or batten down the hatches. Features a zippered front entry. Includes a handy pocket organizer, and a bag for storage.

Can I use a wood stove inside the 1651 enclosure?

No. For safety and fire prevention, wood-burning stoves should only be used in "stove-ready" tent models like the 12x12 Lodge. The 1651 is designed for gear storage, lounging, and bug protection.

Enjoyed the canvas enclosure for storage, cooking and cooler. Nice to b e able to be out of the weather. Couple leaks first rain but appeared to seal as it dried out.

Porch Enclosure

This is a review of the newest version of the enclosure, which is made of canvas. I understand the older versions were synthetic. Pros: a nice, tight fit with the 12x9 tent awning. Set up is fast and easy. It is breathable and sturdy. No leaks, holds up well in stormy weather. It does an excellent job of keeping flying bugs and crawling bugs out. It converts from screen room to enclosed, private space easily. Cons: I wish the entry door was a D-shaped zip like the tent door—it’s awkward and a little difficult zipping it shut since the center awning pole gets in the way. I wish the windows were a bit larger and lower to the ground to give better ventilation and feel more like a screen room. Overall, a very good product and recommended for owners of the 12x9 with awning. I’m very happy they are now using canvas!

Q: can you add this 1651 to the 12x12 kodiak wall tent

A: Great question. You can't add a 1651 to the 12x12 wall tents 6170 and 6175. The reason is that those don't include awnings. This enclosure would have nothing to attach to and they are different sizes. For the 12x12 wall tents 6170 and 6175 there is one enclosure and awning option sold as one set and that's model 1672. Q: Is it possible to add polyurethane window coverings to this tent? As I am new to camping, and I really ike this tent and extra accessories, I would like to be able to see out of the tent in rainy/ snowy weather rather than being closed up inside the tent. Thank you.

A: We don't have a way to add see-through storm-proof windows - just these no-see-um mesh windows. In light rain you can still see through them with them open getting little to no splashing through them.

A: You cannot put a wood burning stove in the Kodiak 12x9, but you can in the 10x10 (model 6173), the 12x12 (model 6170), and the 12x16 (model 6116).
