Q: does water get into this kayak or do you stay dry?

Asked by: Nancy - 2/12/2017
A: This Kayak has scupper holes on the bottom that allow water to drain out, be prepared to get at least a little wet. There are scupper plugs available that will plug these holes (sold separately). If you are going to be kayaking, then you want be prepared to get wet.

Good for the money
This is a nice looking portable hoop with a sturdy build. The acrylic backboard has decent response. Although, it's not as nice as glass but definitely better than the polycarbonate material. Overall, I can't complain for the price I paid. I'm happy with this purchase except for the times when I imagine what The Beast would've been like instead.Read more about review stating Good for the money Review Source: Manufacturer

Hydros 85
Absolutely love my new Hydros 85. Exceeded my expectations. The tracking, stability and ease of getting on and off this sit on top is amazing. Fits great inside my 2018 Honda CR-V. My only issue is that although it has a center carry handle I find it a bit difficult to use that. I’ve tried a few other kayak carts but they don’t work on this kayak. I wish Lifetime made carts compatible with their kayaks. I ended up making my own set up of taking 2 extra straps that I had and putting each through two scupper holes creating two handles. Tried the traditional kayak straps but too much weight around the neck and shoulder. My method actually worked great but will still look for a cart.

Love This Kayak!
I bought this a few months ago and have been taking it out one or twice a week since. I am a 64 year old female and I can load it inside my S U V, then carry it one-armed down a steep bank onto the nearby lake. It tracks fine for a short kayak, and it is very stable. The few improvements I would recommend would be a way to better lock the backrest in place, add some cords on the side to hold a resting paddle, plus add something to grab onto when climbing back on the kayak in deep water

Light But Sturdy Great Fun For The Whole Family
We are so impressed with the Lifetime Kayak, that we bought a set and my son bought two also. They are great fun at the lake and are easy to get to and from the lake. The kids, and the adults, spend hours entertaining themselves. The kayaks are light enough to carry, yet strong enough to hold up even large adults. Good times for all ages

Beautiful Kayak
I have used and seen many kayaks and this one has that beautiful deep blue color. Looks very attractive on the water, but not too loud. Very sporty.
