Avalon Bell Tent FWR- 16.5' Fire and Water Repellent

I bought this tent for a camping wedding and man it did not disappoint. The construction is solid and the size is immense. I was torn between the 5m and 6m and went with the 5m. In the end the 5m was bigger than I expected. Could easily fit 10 people for hangingout and playing games. Definitely holds heat nicely on a cold winter night. Setup took one person less than 30mins the first time. And tear down about the same. The generous bag size makes putting it back a breeze. Fair warning these tents weigh a ton. I love this tent! Having all those windows is amazing! It is so nice looking and the quality is worth paying more for. Amazingly, it gets almost zero dust inside when it is kept closed - that's how air tight it is. We put ours on a redwood platform in our yard and furnished it for glamping. While it takes a while to set up, it is relatively easy. As a medium size woman I am able to put up the center pole on my own (with some stubbornness). The floor is strong but slippery. I put down wool blankets to stop the slipping but also helps to keep it warmer. Small issue with the zipper on the door. But I found closing the zipper with the main part of the zipper instead of the zipper pulls prevents the zipper getting caught. Overall a well thought out and good quality walltent.* Update -Summer Finally got it out on a sweltering day. It was so quick to set up (no frozen ground). We made this into our own camping site on our land and we love it. We put a wood stove and big enough for queen size short bed and other furniture! We love how sturdy it is and feels so nice to go “glamping” in the woods. Originally Posted on White Duck Outdoors

The tent is amazing and exceeded my expectations. The reviews are great, but the tent is even better. It is quality, heavy duty, functional and well made for my purposes. I bought it to leave set up on one my places for the winter as a hunting base camp for my 10 year old son and I to use as we could. I originally set it up at my house and water proofed it per instructions. I then set it up out at one of the ranches two months ago, stocked it with our cots, provisions and a wood stove and left it. It has encountered all kinds of high winds, freezing temperatures (we live in South Texas so the lowest temp we have camped is 26) and it hasn’t moved an inch or let in a drop of water. It is heavy as all get out, but I can easily set it up by myself. As long as you don’t have to pack it far you are good.
