This Cypress outdoor storage shed kit's gable roof design fits perfectly with the styles of today's homes. With its 6'-4? high side walls this shed kit provides maximum storage in a small area. With the large 5'-4? wide x 6' high doors you can easily store your riding lawn mower or 4-wheeler. Doors can be placed left or right of center on the 10×12 size and centered on the 10×16. Siding

The 3/8" siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin-saturated substrate, superior to plywood. A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. It comes primed and ready for the paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint is recommended. It has been treated with Composibor preventing fungal decay and insect damage. The siding is backed with a 50-year limited warranty.

Floor

Optional Floor: If you have an already existing level foundation, cement slab, blacktop or gravel base, the floor kit is still recommended as you do not want your siding and walls touching the ground where they can soak up water. If you don’t purchase the floor, you’ll need some sort of wooden base or material to raise the shed off the direct ground. The floor includes treated 4x4 runners, 2 x 4's for the floor joists, and ¾” plywood. Raising the foundation above the ground the 4 x 4's allow air to flow an eliminate moisture. All nails are included. The floor does require cutting and assembly and floor sheathing is not treated.

Windows

Optional Windows: Single-hung aluminum 18x27 windows provide light and ventilation. The lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit insects, birds, leaves, etc. Window includes raised panel vinyl shutters ready to paint.

The wife loves it.

I wired in 7 outlets and a light switch, insulated, sheet rocked it. Wife did the mudding and all the paint. Colors and shingles match the house. Sealed the floor with leftover concrete garage floor sealer. I extended the side of the shed by 5 feet for a lawn mower port and enclosed it with lattice. Added a feminine touch with planters made with leftover gutter material and painted to match. The solar LED flowers are cool at night. We are not carpenters but I think for amateurs, it turned out good.

Shed Kit

I am very pleased with the shed kit I ordered! It saved us quite a bit to build it ourselves. From ordering to the delivery to the building process, it went smoothly. There were a few instructions that didn't make sense, but overall was pretty easy to follow.

Delivery Details: This product ships directly from the warehouse in Greenville, PA. This item generally ships via a curbside delivery through an LTL carrier (too big for UPS and FedEx). The customer must be present to sign for the order. The freight carrier is instructed to contact you prior to delivery to set up a delivery appointment.

Signing for the Package: When signing for the delivery it is important to note any damage. Damage is extremely rare. The products are packaged to travel both domestically and internationally. However, sometimes the packaging may be slightly damaged, but you may not be sure whether something inside is damaged. In such a case it is a good idea to sign for it and have the driver note it as such. You can still accept delivery. Call or email us with any questions.

Q: I'm planning on putting this shed on a concrete slab and would like to have the floor to be concrete. If I were to forgo the flooring option is the standard kit going to still have framing for the floor or not? I'm planning on anchoring the shed to slab with bolts along the perimeter.

A: We recommend placing the shed on a wooden base (which becomes your floor) even if you have a concrete slab as raising it up will help keep water from penetrating the wooden siding.

Q: I am confused on whether or not I can choose to get windows and shudders or not. One paragraph says they don't ship easily because they are susceptible to damage, but then you can still add them. And in the options description it mentions the aluminum framing on the windows and the screens. So is the extra cost just for the shudders and I would have to purchase the windows separately?

A: The windows with Shutters are optional and at additional cost, no windows or shutters are already included. You need to select the option to add those. The optional windows include shutters.

Q: The picture illustrates the barn door placed on the left end of the building. Can it be built and placed on the right end of building? My set up requires an right side installation.

A: On the 10x12 size the door can be located left or right of center. The customer first frames the wall with a left of center orientation according to the instructions. You would then reverse that orientation before applying the siding for a right of center placement. So yes. Easy.

A: The floor is optional so that you can decide what type of flooring/foundation you would like. The standard floor is best installed over and existing foundation, cement slab, blacktop or gravel base. Bricks or patio stones can be used to level the 2x4 treated framing. The standard floor includes treated 2x4's 16" o.c. and 5/8" OSB ( Oriented Strand Board ) Nails are included. Floor requires cutting and assembly. Floor sheathing is not treated.
