Duramax 00184 DuraMate 8x6 Shed and Foundation

Perfect for most backyards, the DuraMate shed is maintenance-free. Constructed of durable all-weather vinyl in neutral ivory, it will never need painting or treating. It will not rust, dent, rot, mildew, or fade. It is also fire retardant and much quieter in the rain than metal sheds. The wall columns are reinforced with a solid metal structure, giving the shed a lot of strength and making it easy to hang shelves or garden tools. The DuraMate boasts 208 cubic feet of room, with double doors wide enough for equipment and high enough for tall people. It's wind-tested to withstand high wind and it can support up to 900 pounds of snow (or one large gorilla) on the roof.

Warranty

U.S. Polymer Inc. will send a replacement part free of charge, in the event of material defects and or workmanship for a period of fifteen years from the date of purchase.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered. In no event shall we pay the cost of flooring, labor, installation or any other costs related thereto.

This warranty only covers failures due to defects in material or workmanship which occurs during normal use and does not extend to color change arising due to normal weathering or to damage resulting from misuse or neglect, commercial use, failure to follow assembly instructions and the owner’s manual (including proper anchoring of the shed), painting, forces of nature and other causes which is beyond our control.

Claims under this warranty must be made within the warranty period by calling 1-800-483-4674 or mail in a dated sales slip and clear photograph of the part to:

We reserve the right to discontinue or change components. If a component has been discontinued or is not available,

U.S. Polymers, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a component of equal quality as may be compatible.

Limits and Exclusions

There are no express warranties except as listed above. The warrantor shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this product, or arising out of any breach of this warranty. All express warranties are limited to the warranty period set forth above. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country.

The parts seemed flimsy when the package was opened but it does have reinforcing structure. My husband and I put it together in one day, it came together nicely and wasn't hard to do. Follow directions exactly and do not try to put together on a windy day. We bought the foundation kit and mounted it to large pavers then put in a plywood floor. We used clear silicone to seal all joints and fasteners to make sure it doesn't leak in a heavy rain. Very satisfied with this shed.

Exactly As Ordered

the shed is perfect for my requirements - I have just about enough space to accommodate it and it holds everything I envisaged storing in it. It's location is fairly sheltered, so can't comment on how well it would handle high winds (although an anchoring kit is available if required). It has had some heavy downpours and the inside has remained bone dry. It took 2 men a good day to erect; the instructions are good but have to be followed VERY carefully - we managed to go wrong a couple of times which added to the build time, possibly by an hour in total, maybe not quite that long. It does have some restriction on available head height, so some care is needed entering and exiting the shed ( I am 5ft 8in - so not particularly tall). Very pleased overall, and would recommend.

Nice Shed

This is a very nice shed. We had a friend put it together and it took him all day because there were so many pieces. We would have never been able to do it. We love the skylight and double doors

This particular shed ships in 2 boxes on a pallet. Sometimes the paperwork includes the pallet as its own separate piece. When you sign for the shipment it may include the pallet as a separate line item.
Fast Shipping: Orders for the 00114 8x6 DuraMate Storage Shed generally leave the warehouse the next business day. They are usually delivered within 5-10 days with standard shipping. Call for more exact estimates.
Accurate Tracking: Tracking information is automatically emailed to you just as soon as the order ships out.
Delivery Details: This product ships directly from the factory in Montebello, California. Delivery of this product is via a curbside delivery through an LTL carrier (too big for UPS and FedEx). The customer must be present to sign for the order. The freight carrier is instructed to contact you prior to delivery to set up a delivery appointment.
Signing for the Package: When signing for the delivery it is important to note any damage. Damage is extremely rare. We package these to travel both domestically and internationally. However, sometimes the packaging may be slightly damaged, but you may not be sure whether something inside is damaged. In such a case it is a good idea to sign for it and have the driver note it as such. You can still accept delivery. Call or email us with any questions. A: We highly recommend using the foundation kit even on a concrete slab as it will keep everything raised slightly to keep it dry in bad rain storms.

Q: Can I get this delivered assembled?

A: These are a kit. These are designed to be built by the customer, but you are welcome to hire someone to build it for you. We don't do installation ourselves, but we have a list of recommended installers Or you can find a local handyman through mobile apps like: Takl, Angieslist, and Homeadvisor. We have also found that customers are far more successful at getting more competitive local assembly/installation rates if you join a local Facebook classifieds group and create a post like, "Looking for a licensed and insured handyman to assemble my ......." You are likely to get several competitive bids eliminating the middle man.

A: The shed comes with a foundation, but you will want to put plywood on top of that for a floor. This video is not too difficult, 1 person could probably put up the floor and walls, but you will definitely want at least 2 people for the roof.

A: Everything is ready to go, pre drilled, prefabricated and the foundation simplifies the installation immensely. The instructions are done very well in the average customer assembles this them self - finishing in a weekend.
