The siding is treated and prevents fungal decay and insect damage. It is manufactured with wood strands that are pressed into a resin-saturated substrate making it superior to plywood. The Hampton is available in 12ft. wide x 16ft., 20ft., and 24ft. sizes. Featuring a second-floor loft for plenty of additional storage of items like seasonal decorations, clothes, gardening tools, etc. Access to the large interior is provided by a 9-lite 32"x80" walk-in door and 6ft. wide carriage-style out-swing doors.
8ft.-1in. high side walls allow you to add shelving for additional storage or work area. The 73in. wide door opening is wide enough for a lawn tractor, snowblower, ATV, or gardening equipment.
If you would prefer to set your foundation for the Hampton 12x16 shed directly on grass, the deluxe floor kit would be the floor for you. It includes 4x4 treated runners and gives support to the floor joists. Raising the foundation above the ground, the 4 x 4's allow air to flow and eliminate moisture. This kit includes 4x4 treated runners, treated 2 x 4's 16" o.c., and 3/4" plywood. All nails are included, and the floor does require cutting and assembly, also the floor sheathing is not treated. If you already have a foundation or would prefer to build your own, then choose the "No Floor" Option.

Please note that these shipments are too large for FedEx and ups and require freight delivery on a semi-truck. The freight company will call you to set up a delivery. Someone will need to be home to sign for it. The freight company will unload it for you curbside.
Siding
The 3/8" siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin-saturated substrate, superior to plywood. A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. It comes primed and ready for the paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint is recommended. It has been treated with Composibor preventing fungal decay and insect damage. The siding is backed with a 50-year limited warranty.
Loft
A loft provides an ideal, out-of-the-way area for storing seasonal decorations, small boxes, chair cushions, and smaller items. Choose the size and location of access to the loft floor area during construction.
Hardware
The Best Barn wood shed kit components fit easily into place with no special tools or skills required. All required hardware is included. Roof edge and shingles are provided by the owner as most customer’s want to purchase that locally to match their home.
Floor
Optional Floor: If you have an already existing level foundation, cement slab, blacktop or gravel base, the floor kit is still recommended as you do not want your siding and walls touching the ground where they can soak up water. If you don’t purchase the floor, you’ll need some sort of wooden base or material to raise the shed off the direct ground. The floor includes treated 4x4 runners, 2 x 4's for the floor joists, and ¾” plywood. Raising the foundation above the ground the 4 x 4's allow air to flow an eliminate moisture. All nails are included. The floor does require cutting and assembly and floor sheathing is not treated.
Windows
Optional Windows: Single-hung aluminum 18x27 windows provide light and ventilation. The lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit insects, birds, leaves, etc. Window includes raised panel vinyl shutters ready to paint.
One (1) Gable window with sunburst and (2) two with sunburst for the dormers are included to provide more light and venting for the second-floor loft area. Optionally you may purchase an additional gable window.
