Purchasing Guide

1. Why choose the Hathaway Park Avenue instead of a traditional pool table?
The Park Avenue is a great choice when you want multiple uses from the same space. It functions as a 7-foot pool table, converts to table tennis, and includes a removable top that creates a dining, craft, or work surface. Two matching upholstered benches provide seating and built-in storage for game accessories, allowing the Park Avenue to serve as both a game table and functional furniture. This versatility makes it especially useful for family rooms, finished basements, recreation rooms, and other multipurpose spaces.

2. What kind of billiards experience does the Park Avenue provide?
The Park Avenue is designed primarily for family and recreational billiards. Its 3/4-inch engineered-wood playing surface is covered with a nylon-wool blend cloth, while tournament-grade K66 rubber cushions help provide consistent ball rebounds. The table's sturdy post-style legs add stability during play, and the durable melamine finish helps protect the cabinet from everyday scratches and dings. It is a good option for buyers who prioritize versatility and recreational play rather than the added cost and weight of a dedicated slate billiard table.

3. How much space should I plan for before purchasing the Park Avenue?
The table measures 84 inches long x 47 inches wide x 32 inches high, while each bench measures approximately 67 inches long x 12.625 inches wide x 19.75 inches high. You'll need additional clearance around the table when playing pool so there is enough room to comfortably use the included 57-inch cues. Because the benches can be positioned with the table for dining and seating, consider both your gaming and dining configurations when measuring your room. The benches also provide built-in lined storage with hydraulic hinges, helping keep pool and table tennis accessories organized when they aren't being used.

Q: Do I have to assemble the pool table myself or does your company assemble it for a fee?

Asked by: Robert Bailey - 10/13/2023

A: We don't provide installation on any of our items. Most customers assemble these items themselves (and the owner's manual is available if you'd like to take a look at it). If you do hire out assembly, we recommend using the app/website called Thumbtack. It connects you with local installers. You type in what you're looking for an it will give you a price. We are not affiliated with them, but I personally used have used it and highly recommend it based off of customer's feedback. You can see the installers ratings from other customers and get a bid via text before committing. Here's a link to it: Thumbtack – thumbtack.com
