Nice Looking, Very Stable Shed.

We bought the 6415 shed in 2009 and it has been perfect since putting it together. At that time (5 years ago) the instructions were not very good. It went together OK, just was hard to understand the what parts were what, and what the assembly goal of some pages was. The shed lasted in great shape until December 2013. There was 18 inches of wet snow in one day. It bent the trusses, and the roof caved almost all the way in. To be fair, there were LOTS of other buildings and homes that had roof problems too with this unusual wet snow. This was a once in a century snow, I believe. We were able to jack the trusses back up, straightening the bent parts of the metal trusses as we went. We never disassembled the roof, but the panels went back up with the trusses and it now DOES NOT LEAK. There are lots of screws that popped out of the roof panels, but the roof still seems quite solidly attached. I attached some 2x6s to the trusses and propped them up with a couple more from the floor to provide support for the now-weakened, re-bent trusses. We will see if it lasts another winter. We may order new plastic roof panels, and maybe trusses next year to assure the roof is solid again and it will look better (panels sag a little from being bent, making it look worse than it is). Well, the end of the story is that we needed yet more storage room. Even considering the near-loss of the roof on our 2009 shed, we still liked it well enough that we ordered another shed from Lifetime; the exact same model and I assembled it 5 feet away from the current one. The 2014 instructions were better, or maybe I thought so because I had already assembled one. I think they are better, although the parts identification could still be a little better for some of the metal parts. It took me almost three days to assemble it by myself. I had to innovate some "third hands" for a couple of places where two people were recommended for assembly, but I got by. I did make some mistakes and had some do-overs. I also did some things out of sequence (don't DO that!) that required dis-assembly/re-assembly. You may see in some reviews about assuring a level, square foundation. That is SO TRUE. Whatever time you spend assuring a level surface is time well spent. I built mine on the pure sand of our place, no concrete or wood floor. Our 2009 shed was built the same and worked fine. I was not as careful with leveling in 2014, and had to shove sand in and take sand out underneath the structure as I was assembling it. Wasted a LOT of time, which is part of why it took almost three days to complete. Overall, it assembled well, with steady effort. Would have been much better with another person and a perfectly level base. When you get your shed complete, you will like the way it looks, like the way it works and feel good about buying it. Great Looking Shed

I bought this shed cause it being all vinyl It will last a lifetime the looks of it . it sure will. I built it on a wood deck of all pressure treated and I am glad I did because you sure do need a nice flat surface to have it all come together it took me about 14 hours to assembly and the help of one other person for about a half hour it is all up and ready to be used but the only thing I didn't like us the directions some parts I f it can be a little confusing but took a break and when back at it and figured it out thanks for the great product I will enjoy. Bought 6415 base

Excellent Company - Great Product

Did my research for days on sheds. Should I go vinyl or wood. For the size, warranty and price you cannot beat this product. Same thing wooden would be a lot more money and maintenance. Competitive Edge was an excellent company to deal with and I will definitely deal with them again. Found this product online for a cheaper price and they beat it. No questions asked. Was delivered the very next week. Shed was a little overwhelming at first. There were a lot of packaging materials and a ton of screws and bolts. Instructions could of been a little more thorough, but when you have everything laid out, goes together quickly and easily. Love the steel reinforced trusses inside for snow loads. Had a storm with a downpour and winds the other day, not one drop of water inside. Very sturdy and stable shed. I would definitely recommend this shed to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Bought 6415 base

Great Product

Contemplated back and forth for 2 weeks to purchase this shed or a conventional wooden shed. It was a lot easier to make one phone call and have a shed on my property but I couldn't justify 3k to $3, 500. 00 for a 10x12 shed. Then their was the maintenance issue through the years with those sheds. So I gave this shed a shot and I am so happy I did. It was delivered on the day they said, within the time frame. Then my son and I put it together the next day. It took us 7 hours from start to finish (with a lunch brake)and the assembly was not bad at all. DEFINITELY watch the u tube video a couple times. The directions can be a little confusing sometime, but do not give up on them they were right every time we questioned them. we did have (1) corner board that was not punched out correctly that kinda screwed us up for a bit. And the windows are a little on the cheap side. But all in all great product, would buy another one without hesitation!Bought 6415 base

Great Product

Easy to order, fast delivery. Ordered the 11x13. 5 with two 2. 5 extensions. Being a mechanic and the help of my partner we built the shed in 13 hours over the weekend. One thing I like was plenty of extra parts in case you lose a screw or 2. Bought 6415 base

Excellent Product

We ordered an 11 x 13. 5 Lifetime Shed with the 2. 5 extension kit. It came just as they said, on a large truck to the curb. We were lucky enough to have a patient driver help my husband wheel each box up a 132 foot steep driveway - not sure why they do not send the semis that disconnect and have a pallet mover built in, those boxes are heavy. We unloaded them where they sat and sorted all the contents in the garage since we could not get to this project until November in Wisconsin - build yourself a fire, it was a long cold weekend. The shed itself is very nice and the instructions are generally pretty good. We had a few incorrectly marked pieces, thankfully it was easy to figure out they were the same piece with different numbers. I thought the packaging of the small parts could have been better, once you take a smaller bag out of the larger marked bag, which will happen, it can get confusing. I think marking each bag with the master bag code would be good. There is a lot of going back to the parts list to figure out what things were. A lot of work, I would recommend having at least two males who are tall help with the project, it will go much faster. Overall and excellent product, lets see how it holds up over the years. A: The doors can only be on the 11' side. They can't be put on the longer 26 foot side.

A: The 11' sheds don't have a dual door option. The 20x8 and the 15x8 do have that option though.

A: Hello, Sorry for the confusion. The 6415 shed is the 11 x 13.5, but this model has extension kits to expand it the extra 12.5 feet. So it is the same shed, just longer.

A: Hello, Sorry for the confusion. The 6415 shed is the 11 x 13.5, but this model has extension kits to expand it the extra 12.5 feet. So it is the same shed, just longer.

A: The manufacturer recommends placing the shed on a flat structure such as a wooden foundation made of treated 2 x 4's and OSB board that you can pick up from your local home improvement store. The instructions show just how to build it and what materials are needed. The other recommendation is a concrete slab. The concrete slab is more pricey to erect. It is very important to make sure it is flat and drains well. If it isn't flat you may run into issues with your doors closing properly. Feel free to contact us with any other questions
