This system from Lifetime Products features a 44 in. Shatterproof Fusion™ backboard with frame pad. A telescoping height adjustment mechanism that adjusts from 7.5 to 10 feet high so everyone can play at their own skill level. It also includes a Classic Rim with an all-weather net and a 2.75 in. diameter round steel pole. With a 27-gallon portable base complete with wheels, this system can easily be moved to a desired location. Adjustment Mechanism - Enjoy the game at your level without the use of any tools! The telescoping pole adjusts the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6-inch increments.

Backboard - The Shatterproof Fusion™ Backboard integrates a shatterproof polycarbonate playing surface with an unbreakable polyethylene frame for a durable, pro-glass look. Graphics are screen-printed with UV-protected inks for superior color and protection against the elements.

Exactly What I Expected

The product came in perfect condition. Assembly was doable with one person. The hardest part to do alone was attaching the hoop and baseboard to the pole assembly. Exactly What We Were Looking For

Q: Is backboard available as replacement part? Cost?

A: Basketball Compatibility
First: Is the system made by Lifetime?
Second: Is the pole round?
Third: Is the pole diameter 3.5-inches?
Fourth: Is there a Y-Shaped bracket where the mounting arms mount to the pole?
If you can answer yes to all of these, than any Lifetime backboard and rim combo we sell will work with your hoop. If you answer no to any of these, than the backboards we sell will definitely not work with your system, and you will need to call 1-800-225-3865 to get the backboard you need. Here are our Backboard and rim combos

A: Yes. The price point and available features for this system make it a great basketball goal to introduce your young player to the game of basketball. With its adjustable rim height, the 90073 can grow with the player as they develop their arm strength. The rim can adjust all the way up to regulation height, 10 feet.

Q: Are polycarbonate or acrylic backboards better?

A: Both materials provide an excellent backboard. For backboards of similar dimensions and thickness, polycarbonate tends to have a longer life, while acrylic tends to provide a better rebound.

Q: Should I fill the portable base with water or sand?

A: Either substance is fine. Make sure you follow the directions provided by Lifetime Products for filling the base. Please note that filling the base with sand does provide great weight to offset the system, which can provide greater stability, but makes the system more difficult to roll to different locations if needed.
