Lifetime 90648 Double Shot Arcade Basketball Game Electronic System

In the past 10 years I have purchased two of these for my large church Sunday school classes. I bought a second one due to the kids hanging on the net sides and pulling down the pipes that hold them up. After placing a sign for the kids to stay off the net sides these have lasted great with thousands of kids playing each month. To show you how well these are built I have had to replace all of the balls 4 times due to them actually wearing out(bald) from all of the games played on them. Best toy for a large group of kids that will last a Lifetime! We did have to replace the infra-red sensors panel twice which Lifetime made available to us. As long as the kids stay in front of the game the only thing you will ever have to replace are the worn out basketballs!

Excellent quality, Kids and adults love playing and competing with each other. Directions were a bit confusing.

I have been very impressed by the new and improved double shot arcade game. First, it is a pretty straightforward install but it does take a couple hours to complete. I do recommend using your own tools instead of the ones that come with the unit since they are too small to get good leverage to tighten the bolts. Also, the pump that they include to inflate the balls did not work for me. I recommend using a bike pump. Once it was setup, then began the fun part of learning to play the 12 game modes. The game modes are divided into four categories: Single Player Games, Single or Double Player Games, Double Player Games & Multi-player Games. There is always a game to play no matter how many people are playing and if there is no one around the single player games are a blast. My favorite game so far has been "Scoring Streak" which is a double player game where you compete to be the first to get 100 points. In this game you get bonus points for consecutive shots made within a certain amount of time. It is a fun competition and this game never ends after one match. I also really like the single player game "High Score". This game awards you 6 bonus points if you get a ball in each basket at the same time. The game keeps track of the highest score that has been reached. I let a friend play this game and his high score haunted me for a long time before I beat it. The variety of game modes keeps the Double Shot game interesting and entertaining. I also like that the unit can be adjusted to make it easier for kids to play. Both the ramp and the backboard can be lowered so that kids can have an easier time reaching the ball and making shots. Another thing I like about this game is the fact that it can be folded up to take up about 1/3 of the floor space. When folded up, it sticks out from the wall a little less than three feet (unfolded it sticks out 7'). I have encountered a couple issues related to the speaker/volume. First, the single player game "Free Throw" is way too loud. At the default startup volume the whistle in this game sounds like a fire alarm going off followed by loud cheering/jeering. I like this game but I have to remember to turn the volume way down when I play it. Secondly, the audio becomes distorted when you turn the volume down. As you turn it down static and background noises nearly drown out the game sounds. While the audio isn't the clearest at the lower levels, I do like that I have the option to turn the volume down so if the kids are playing it for a while it isn't blaring in the house. I also recommend numbering the games in the game book. This has made it faster to quickly choose the number of the game I want to play without having to wait for the scoreboard to call out the name of that game. Also, the controls to select the games and change skill levels are really simple to use. There are just three buttons but it only took a short time to figure out how to use them. In summary, the fun competitions this game has provided really outweigh the minor issues. This game is an awesome addition to a game room and I highly recommend it. This game is easy to start playing but good luck trying to stop once you start!

Our family (and the neighbors!) absolutely love this system! The competition becomes fierce and lasts until late at night. The kids love the variety of games it offers and the ease of using it, switching through the different games, etc. My husband loved how easy it was to build and set-up. One of the best features this system offers is it's ability to fold up and store securely, especially with limited space. We have a very small house and it wouldn't fit inside. We were forced to put it out in our garage and were worried we wouldn't be able to park our cars inside of it any longer. Once we set it up and saw how easily and tightly it stored we were thrilled! When the kids want to play we move our cars out and they are able to put it down with no assistance from us. We did have one very small problem with the adhesive used to mount the control button to the side bar. It never held the part on from the get-go. We were able to find another adhesive to attach it securely and haven't had a problem since. All in all, a very well built and sturdy piece that will hopefully last for many years to come, especially with 3 growing boys.

My daughter and I have had a lot of fun playing our Double Shot Arcade Game. It can easily be set at two different height settings, depending on how tall the players are. There are several games to choose from on this system that makes it just that much more fun! This can be played as a single player, two players, or multiple players. Just last weekend all the adults and children in my family played several rounds of the different games. My daughter and I have had a lot of fun playing our Double Shot Arcade Game. This system has the option of folding up when you aren't playing it. I love this feature, and I am able to fold, and unfold, this system easily by myself. This game automatically shuts down by itself when you are done using it. The system has a 12 volt plug, or you may run the score board off of the batteries. I play this system several times a week by myself, or with another person. We have really enjoyed this game system, and I would highly recommend it to others. We used our own socket wrench and a pipe to extend the handle on the tools. I would highly recommend using larger, more sturdy tools to speed up building this. It took us about 2 and 1/2 hours to put the system together. I have also noticed if you make baskets too close together, the score board has a hard time keeping up. This system is large so you will want to pay attention to the space you have in mind for this. That being said, it does fold up and that helps get it out of the way when it's not in use (This is my favorite part of this system). In the month we've had our basketball system it's gotten plenty of use! It took my husband about two hours to assemble. It's needs a good amount of space, with a footprint that's about the size of a full size bed. We found that you also need to leave a little elbow room and not place it right next to the wall. We set it up in our basement with eight foot ceilings and it fit fine. It can be raised higher if you have a place with taller ceilings, which is ideal for adults. The adults can easily play standing up but some preferred to kneel. It can simply be folded away to open up your living space when you're not using it. And the six arcade size balls just fold up with it. Make sure it is close to an outlet or have an extension cord handy. The 12 pre-programmed games keep it fresh and fun. There are single, double, and multi player games. One of my son's favorites is 'Cross Fire' where you get to shoot in your opponent's basket so the balls cross in the middle and often collide with each other. My seven year old had figured out how to operate the system and play all the different games in no time. He and his friends have loved having a fun activity to do when it's been hot outside this summer. Everyone who comes over for dinner or just for a chat ends up playing a few games when they find out about it. Even my toddler likes to get in on the fun. We look forward to many years of fun with this basketball system.

This basketball double shoot is so much fun! We got it for our daughter but my husband and I play it regularly. The basketball hoop is adjustable in the front for shorter kids playing to be able to reach the basketballs that are being fed back and then easily goes back to a taller height for adults so you don't have to bend down. It is also able to fold up conveniently to store against the wall and not take up so much room. We currently use this in our unfinished basement and it fit perfectly! If you have lower ceilings you are able to adjust the height for that as well. The game is very big! Which is awesome! It's like having a real arcade game right in your house! This basketball hoop is also loaded with games to play other than just regular basketball. There are settings for the volume of the "announcer" so it can be louder or quieter. These games are for single, double or multiple (up to 9) players. Our favorite has been the "bowling" game. The basketball hoop come in a fairly small box it fit in the back of our SUV and was a simple set up. This hoop is very good quality and sturdy! I would definitely recommend this to family or friends.
