The Lifetime Payette™ 98 Kayak is a sit-inside kayak that has a large cockpit and a comfortable backrest for your long paddling adventures. Designed for extreme safety and stability, the Payette™ has a stable flat bottom with deep tracking channels and stability chine rails. The kayak is constructed of blow-molded high-density polyethylene making it durable, UV-protected, and impact resistant. The lightweight, 44-pound design and front and rear carry handles make it easy to transport to and from the waterfront. With shock cord straps, multiple footrest positions, and an enclosed compartment with a lid and shock cords, this kayak has plenty of extras to enhance your paddling experience.

Lifetime Payette Angler

In looking for a quality kayak to enjoy the local rivers and lakes, this manufacturer was highly recommended for quality, pricing, weight and durability. Their Customer Service was highlighted as among the very best anywhere. I found it easy to manage in transport, carrying, launching and recovery. Agility and true line of travel were commensurate with the skills of the person using the kayak. Comfortable with adjustable seat and foot pegs. Drain plug easy to use and kayak light enough to tilt upright for drainage even with water in the craft from rapids of cast off from using the paddles. Fun experience and extremely satisfied with products. When you have a great product at a great price and manufacturer customer service, you just have to take time to do a review of your own experience. Great Kayak!

We purchased this kayak a few weeks ago, and I love it. It is enclosed, so I feel a little more secure, and there is a some room for storage. It rides smooth and feels stable. We even got grandma to take a ride in this kayak. She enjoyed it because she didn't get wet. This kayak is very good quality! We will enjoy this kayak for many years to come. Pros: Design, Easy Exit & Entry, Storage, Lightweight, Stable, Comfortable Not a close up, but what a beautiful sunset! My favorite ride in the kayak.

Very Easy To Handle In And Out Of The Water

i have bought 4 Kayaks in the last month alone. My wife , who didn't like to do anything outdoors went Kayaking in the ocean with our friends. We now have been to all the reservoirs within 1 hour of our home. We go out at least twice a week no. The other day she said to me , why didn't we buy these years ago. I gently reminded her that she was the one that didn't want to do anything outdoors. Great Fishing Kayak

Great!

I bought one of these and love it. I new at kayaking and wasn't sure what to buy. I asked the salesman at Sports Authority for a kayak that is stable and good for beginners. Great Starter Kayaks!

Bought 2 then had to go back for more for the rest of the family! It's been the perfect kayak to teach my daughter and myself. Great family activity! We may have to convert them to fishing kayaks. There are some big trout in the shallows! Pros: Easy Exit & Entry, Lightweight, Price, Stable Dad! Did you see that one?

First Timer

I bought this kayak for its price point and also, I have never kayaked before. My family and I used it today and the kids enjoyed it. The only issue is that some water would get into the hull and we would have to empty it out from time to time. Other than that, a good starter kayak. We will enjoy this kayak all summer long. I would like to try to the sit-on-top kayak in the future, though, just to see the difference.
