I am extremely pleased with the performance of the 10' Triton sit on. Being an experienced kayaker, i push all my test to extremes. I have had, and only recommend for very experienced kayakers, this kayak on lake Michigan in 2 to 4 foot waves. As i was fishing for salmon approximately 1 mile out, i landed several fish and had a great trip. Not one issue with stability in the entire outing. Please realize before attempting this trip, i took this kayak to a smaller lake where i purposely rolled and reentered several ways and several times. This being said i have 2 10 foot sit ins that not only are not nearly as stable but also much more difficult to reenter. 5 stars all the way.

I am a woman who loves to fish and I live a few blocks from the lake. I read many reviews and decided on this Kayak. I bought this and a caddy so I can walk it to the lake. I kayaked around the lake several times without fishing just to get the hang of it and this is extremely stable and comfortable and feels like a quality product. Today I packed some simple fishing gear and set out to give that a try. It was so much fun I am now addicted and can't wait to get back on the lake. It is a smaller lakes so it doesn't get a lot of boat traffic and is perfect for kayaking. I'm so happy I chose this kayak. We just took this kayak to Bear Lake (Idaho) for the first time. Several people from our group took it out for a spin, and everyone loved it. It was the perfect size for the bigger kids & all of the adults. It was easily maneuverable, which is very important in a windy, unpredictable location. The padded seat backrest made for a really comfortable experience, and there is plenty of room for one person to do a bit of fishing from on board. The fishing pole holder allows you to go hands free when you need to get your tackle in order or do a bit of paddling. I was concerned about the this kayak being just a bit too big for our older kids, but it worked out great. I don't think they'll go back to using the smaller versions. I would absolutely recommend. My kayak is fine. It is my first and I will graduate to something faster. I guarantee that, because of the outstanding customer service I received when needing to order parts, it will absolutely be another Lifetime brand kayak. I had removed the seat on this Lifetime kayak so my 2 grandsons could sit in it and fish having it anchored not far off my dock. Being kids they got to messing around and tipped it. They had great fun tipping it back over and crawling back on. . . and, of course repeating it because it was so much fun the first time. I didn't realize until today when I went to re-attach the seat that 2 clips that attach the support straps to the boat were missing and, a latch was missing that holds the seat in a mounting bracket. Groan. . they are at the bottom of the lake. My first thought was there is no way I will be able to find parts and will likely have to purchase an entire seat assembly -- if I could even find that. I found the Lifetime website and hooray there is an actual customer service dedicated to parts. Not only that, but Jonathan, the young man who helped me knew exactly what I'd lost despite my confusing way of describing it!! I am super impressed with this company and its employee training. Bought two of these for our family. Great basic kayak, with rod holders and little else in terms of frills. Fairly simple boat at a great price. On my way home from the retailer, the kayaks were on the roof rack and one of the foam seats blew off the hull. Disappointed, I contacted Lifetime customer service. They sent a new seat pad via FedEx immediately. I was really happy with the Lifetime customer service. More on the boat. Like I said, its a simple design. Not a lot of extras, but comfortable on a 4 hour float with a kid in my lap. Handled well on the river. Seems like a very stable design. Time will tell how the hull material will hold up with continued rock beatings on the bottom. The hull seems a little more thin than many hulls I've inspected but the boat weighs under 50 lbs and is easy for one decent sized person to handle (I can get them on and off my 4 runner racks by myself, but having a helping hand is a huge plus). The fittings seem well attached (handles, rod holders, rear net, etc. ) Anyway, we like the kayaks a lot. They don't come with paddles so we had to spring for those as well.
