Bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter she loves it

My boy is 5 and only 50" tall. He loves his Shark boat and is able to carry it himself.

What did you/your child think of the design? They loved the shark design said it was awesome. What are your favorite features? Favorite features are the steadiness of the kayak when getting off and on the ease of use and how easy it is to navigate with the paddles. What did you think about the color? The bright red color is a great color as it can be easily spotted if your kayaking with a group and the color along with shark design sets it apart from others.

We took this kayak out for a paddle in the intracoastal waterway last week and had a great time! This kayak is designed for kids but both my kids (8 and 12) and myself can use it since it has a 130 lb weight limit. My 8 year old daughter was definitely more excited than my 12 year old son with the design but I love that both of them can use it. Although it's not designed as an adult kayak it's nice to know it can support my weight and size if necessary. We also loved that there were multiple foot peg options to fit multiple sizes so all of us were comfortable in the kayak despite our size differences. A paddle is included and it's easy to put together and take apart and was a perfect size for the kids. Not too long or heavy for my daughter to use. There are also multiple metal rings available to hook items to (dry bag cooler etc). The kayak is super easy to carry. It's both small and light and with the hand hold in the middle of the kayak it transports really easily. It doesn't retain water in any hidden spots either. After pulling it out of the water and draining it and drying it off there was just a small amount of leakage to dry off and no water leakage in the car on the way home. The color is great- its light so it doesn't attract a lot of heat (we never had an issue with it being hot to the touch) and also doesn't reflect light into their eyes with paddling. The shark design was my daughter's favorite thing about the kayak. She was so excited to use it and even made it into a toy to play with on the sand when we were done. The only issue we had was with the handle at the top. The kayak was shipped in a pretty thin box which got beat up in shipping and it showed up with a broken handle. Lifetime was quick to ship me a replacement and it was received 2 days later but I think they need to either improve the sturdiness of the box it gets shipped in find a way to wrap the handle in padding prior to shipping or make the handle out of a more flexible material. Overall though we had a great time using this kayak and my daughter can't wait to take it back out.

This little kayak is a great looking kayak for kids. My son is 12 and he loves the way it looks and how it feels sitting on this sweet ride (his words) haha! He loves the weight and feel of the paddle (very lightweight) and that there is a nook to set the paddle in if you just wanted to relax and float for a while. Unfortunately the weather has not been cooperating and we weren’t able to take this out for a true test however rest assured we will be on the river as soon as it is warm enough! He loves how he has choices to place his feet and that it will grow with him. He also told me that he likes the fact that if he goes swimming that this shark has a hand hold grip in the center of the floor to help him climb back on. We can’t wait to give this little guy the chance to float down the river

We've been looking to get another kayak for awhile now my boys want to race each other and that's hard to do with just one. The Lifetime Youth Shark Kayak is Perfect! There is so much to like about it including the centered handle that makes it a breeze for my 8 year old to carry to the water. My son also really loved the grab handles on the back to pull yourself out or the water. also the T-handle on the front helps getting the kayak in and out of the water. If you have kids and want to have fun on the water this is it! Also the Shark kayak won all the races. My boys say it is because the shark teeth make it faster. You decide.
