Q: I have a inground mod.1008 backboard with a black pole. Can i buy the lower section of the pole only? A wind storm bent the pole where it enters the the concrete . The remainder of the unit is in great shape.

Q: Do you think this could be made short enough to use in ground for pool? We currently have 3 1/2 inch pole and a 44 inch backboard but it was designed specifically for pool so it shorter

A: We don’t recommend modifying the pole, If you want a pool basketball hoop, then check out the 1301, or the 1306.

Q: what is the ht of this system?

A: This basketball system adjusts from 7.5’ to 10’ in 6” increments. That measurement is from the rim to the ground. The backboard is 30” tall, so extended to the full 10’ it would be approximately 12’ 8” tall. at the lowest setting of 7.5’ it would be 10’ tall.

Q: What is the difference between the 1008 and the Lifetime inground basketball hoop 90020?

A: The 90020 and 1008 have 3 differences. 1, the 90020 backboard is 48-inches wide; the 1008 has a 44-inch backboard. 2, the 90020 has a grip handle height adjuster referred to as the Action Grip; the 1008 uses the Quick Adjust, which operates using a broom stick. And 3, the 90020 rim uses a double-spring compression rim; the 1008 uses a classic static rim.
