Best Kayak On The Market
Researched about 7 brands of kayaks. Purchased this one last summer and hope to buy another for use by friends. I'm 65 and afraid of the water. Never thought I would get in a kayak. It is so stable and easy to handle you could use it like a paddle board. Tracks well and plenty of storage for fishing, etc. Well made with super tough material, comfortable seat/back rest and easy for me to transport and handle by myself. I use it almost every day June-August--canals, harbor and Albemarle Sound in NC. Lifetime backs their product. I definitely made the right choice. Very happy. Muskie Angler
I have had this Kayak for about 4 years and I love it. I have used it in almost every River, Pond, and Lake in Utah from Logan to Lake Powell. The only thing I wished it had would be the option to have the two rod holders on the front. I also wish the storage bins would be more user friendly or easier to access so that you could fit a small tackle box etc. Ever better idea, make the storage bins large enough to store the paddles.

Really Good Kayak
This is a two part review. First is for using as it was designed. Second is using it for what it wasn't and that's fast water and rapids. This is a two part review. First is for using as it was designed. Second is using it for what it wasn't and that's fast water and rapids. As a flat/slow water fishing kayak I love it. The keel keeps it tracking good, paddles easy and plenty fast enough. It's light enough to load and load it out of my truck even with all fishing gear already on it. Stable enough to stand up in in calmer waters. It also paddles into a fairly stiff wind with little effort. This is a two part review. First is for using as it was designed. Now for they say it's not for. : ) I live on the Llano river in central Texas. River flows anywhere from 50 cfs to 100, 000 cfs depending on rain fall, it's also a boulder and granite strewn river every inch of it's 80 miles. . Today it was upto 408 when we headed out for some fun in the rapids. My concern was that same keel I love when fishing. I was worried it would hit rocks in the fast current of rapids (far faster then the 400 cfs) and turn me sideways and cause me to get dumped. Much to my pleasure it's wide enough that it never once did that even when dropping down waterfalls of around three feet high. it just went right on down. Bow plunging under water often which is expected and still easily controlled. The scupper holes drained fairly fast and a lot faster than my buddies yak from another maker. There was also barely any water in the hull even though the hatches were completely submerged many times. This is a two part review. First is for using as it was designed. Great Fishing Kayak
I bought this mainly for my 11 year old who loves fishing. Wasn't sure how he'd do on his own but last week we went to Lake Powell and all he wanted to do was fish. He caught a 22" Striper and a 22" Walleye from his kayak with no issues. Glad I invested in the fishing kayak! Now I'll need to get me one too. It's awesome! Great Fun And Value.
I love to fish and I love the water. I thought I would try kayak fishing but didn't want to spend a bundle on an experiment. I'm glad I gave it a try. The Tamarack 120 is a great value for a very functional kayak. It's not super refined - I found plastic shavings in the hull but it's built well. Because it is plastic you don't have to worry about banging it around and it will probably be around for a while with minimal care. Keep in mind I don't have any previous kayaking experience but I do find it's easy to maneuver in the water, easy to carry out of the water w/the assist of an aftermarket dolly you see attached to the back of the yak. It came w/a paddle which could be another cost w/other yaks. I love to fish and I love the water. I thought I would try kayak fishing but didn't want to spend a bundle on an experiment. I did experience one problem which was quickly rectified by Lifetime customer service: The yak was received w/out the external pole holder and the front carry handle was absent. I called Lifetime customer support that day and received the missing items in the mail, two days later. Originally posted on Tamarack Angler Kayak (olive)

Tamarack Angler Kayak
I purchased this Kayak for a great deal from the B stock inventory. I absolutely love that I can put this on top of my car and go. I'm pleased with the stability of the product and the ease of fishing from the kayak. Originally posted on Tamarack Angler Kayak (olive)

Great Kayaks, Great Service
We ordered the 2-pack from Competitive Edge - the customer service was excellent. There was a slight delay getting the kayaks shipped but the company telephoned us to keep us apprised of status - who does that anymore? We talked to a couple of people at the company and they were professional, helpful, and courteous. The kayaks - excellent value and exactly what we wanted and expected. Easy to transport on dollys back and forth from our condo garage to the lake dock. I like that there are handles on the sides AND on the ends. Very stable getting in and out of the kayak - you feel very safe. Kayaks track really well in the water. If I had to find a con I would say the cupholder could be a little deeper...I expect we'll get years of enjoyment from these.

Mr
I have been reading reviews about this kayak fo about a year. my friend`s have a much more expensive Kayak for fishing. I could not sit in it, I would flip every time I tried. I am 55 years old about 5'10" 250 #s Yeah! Yeah! overweight! Read lots of great things about this one. When I finally pulled the trigger, and bought them. My wife and I where in love. There not real heavy, And I found a trick to moving them easy! Stand them up on there rear end, grab the handles with YAK on your back, very easy and mobile. (Not bad for old Fat Boy) I sat on the side both legs dangling in the water to see how easy it was to flip, VERY HARD got it to flip once on purpose. Once you get on and relax It pretty comfortable. (No Easy Chair) But easy to get used to. We tried are out on father's day on the Lake. Very busy day lots of waves. No problem! I paddled a canoe as a kid every weekend this is easier. But you will get WET! But! that's half the fun. Buy Scupper Plugs There Cheap.
