Local Options for 10x14 Kodiak Tent

First time out we got snowed and rained on but the Kodiak tent did it's job and we had a great Memorial weekend

My daughter just turned two and she was so excited to go sleep outside this past Labor Day that I started to look for a tent. My last tent was a cheap Big 5 10 person tent. Didn't last long and did not stand up to any weather. This time I wanted something that will last and be able to take my family camping any season year after year. The Kodiak did not disappoint! The quality is amazing. Take the zippers, heavy duty and well protected from the elements. The flooring is a high quality and thick! You won't even need the tarp in most situations. The only unfortunate thing was I couldn't book any camping sights for Labor Day! That didn't stop us from setting up in our yard though! Can't wait to take the Kodiak out next time a long weekend rolls around! Two thumbs up! Way up!

I love my tent, I just wish I could have afforded the one with the windows on the sides, mostly for summertime.

Haven't used it yet, but did set it up very pleased with the ease to use. Overall very pleased with this tent.

Got this tent for 3rd season Elk hunt in Colorado (first week of November). This tent was a breeze to set up and take down. It performed better than expected and we are completely satisfied. For the price and what you get its a no brainer. Stayed safe and warm all season long. The first day we experienced high winds, probably 30mph plus in temperatures in the single digits. Never felt the breeze and the tent stayed comfortably warm. The tent stayed tight even though the wind kept us on edge the whole night. The second night it snowed about 6" and again, the tent kept us dry and comfortable. The snow slid off the roof and never really built up. It is important to note that we did take the awning down prior to the snow and wind. The rest of the week was mild breeze and low temps, no issues. Plenty of room for two people and all our gear inside. I would see this working for three people with cots and gear but 4 would be cramped without some creative layout and storage. Overall an awesome tent, great durability, and fantastic price. Easy setup, easy tear down, nice storage bags, just very well thought out Full disclaimer here, we did heat the tent with a propane portable heater in the morning and prior to bed. Although it says not to, when you have single digits outside we needed something warmer to get dressed in after getting out of our sleeping bags.

I go out west hunting every year so I needed a tent that was going to be dependable, durable, not take multiple people a long time to set up and would last me for several years. I spent many weeks researching tents. I went on an archery bow hunting site (bow site . com) for more information. Several other hunters recommended the KODIAK brand tent. I went to their web site and found that they had just what I needed and it was even on sale, with free shipping. No brainer - ordered it. Their web site says it sets up in just a few minutes (I think they said like 5 minutes) - "yeah right". I received the tent about 8 days later. Took it out of the box, looked at the time and 8 minutes later it was up and ready for use - by far the easiest and quickest tent I've ever set up. I followed the "waterproofing" instructions and thoroughly soaked it with the hose and let it dry. A few weeks later we were set up in the mountains at 8, 200 feet. The second night a storm came though, it began raining with thunder, lightening and strong winds just before dark - it rained and stormed all night until just after daylight the nest morning. There were times the wind blew so hard I was sure the tent would collapse. Although we had stuff packed up against the walls, not one drop of rain came in. I just can't say enough good things about this tent, thanks Kodiak, you have a lifetime customer.

the tent is awesome. just put it up today. very easy to put up. have bought cheap tents that just don't last. hopefully this will last a long time. nothing cheap about this tent. would like to know what the third grommet is for on the awning since you only get to poles?

Tent arrived as purchased. Fairly easy to set up. I am a bit disappointed in the fact I spent a ton of money and still need to spend more on grommets and time to assemble everything before I can use the vestibule.
