Rundown

This backboard and rim combo is great for most home courts. Using a mounting bracket (sold separately), this basketball backboard can attach to a wall, a roof, or a 3.5 inch round pole. The 79355 features a 50 inch wide acrylic backboard and the Pro Slam rim from Spalding. The backboard is supported by a steel frame, providing optimal strength and improved rebound compared to similarly sized plastic-framed backboards. The acrylic material provides a much better rebound compared to polycarbonate. Order your Spalding basketball backboards here.

This system is backed by a factory warranty through the manufacturer, Spalding. The backboard comes with a 5-year warranty. All other parts are come with a 1-year warranty.

Good product

Very good backboard. The blue is very nice. The rim is strong. The assembly can be difficult since you need two people on one of the steps. Solid frame. Yes I recommend.

Q: I have a hydra-rib basketball backboard where the glass broke and I need to replace it will this backboard work? My glass is 4 wide and 3 feet long just want to make sure I will be able to put it back on to the existing system I can scan it and send it to you

Q: How thick is the acrylic on 79355 backboard and how is it secured to the frame? Using the fixed bracket how far from the wall does the backboard sit? Thank you

A: The thickness on all of these backboards is only a few millimeters. It is supported by either is still or a plastic frame around the perimeter with two center channels to support it as well. And though it may seem thin, they are quite durable. There are many huffy brackets. Do you know which model number you are looking at for the fixed height?

Q: Do you have the attachment that raises the backboard? We have the existing pole and want a backboard and flex rim that you have. Grandchildren are from 18 years to 4 and we will be using it for all ages for a while.
