Very good bracket
Works well with the Spalding 79564 backboard. Shipping for both items was very quick. Instructions are vague on how high to mount the bracket. I mounted the bracket so the bottom is 93' from the ground. Now the rim, at its highest, is 10 2'

Spalding / Huffy 316 U-Turn Lift System Bracket
Arrived within a week. Replaced a smaller backboard with a larger one. The U-turn lift system was relatively easy to install and having a larger backboard makes a huge difference! Glad I did not have to reinstall the pole -- its filled with and sitting in concrete.

Q: Do you have dimensions for the included components? On page 5 of the instructions, I'm specifically interested in the length of parts #23, #26 (both ends/sides of the bend) and #30. Thanks!

A: That's a great question. I'm afraid the only way to find out is by calling 800-558-5234. Please feel free to post the answer on here.

Q: How much wall space is required to attach this product to a flat surface?
Asked by: Rick - 6/1/2017
A: An exact measurement is not given, please see the instructions for more detail. A 1’ wide by 2’ tall spot should be large enough to attach the back of the bracket; though obstructions above or below this may hinder the adjustability.

Asked by: Long John - 1/12/2017

Q: I want to mount this to the front of my garage on a flat service. What is the lowest point I can mount it and be able to adjust it to 10 feet? Thanks
Asked by: D - 10/30/2016
A: I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that the question was what height would the customer need to mount his bracket at, so that when the lift is fully extended to its max. setting, the rim height will be exactly at 10 feet. If this is what was being asked, the bottom of bracket should be ~88" from the ground (see updated image on our site for reference).

Q: this says fits 3.5 inch pole. Will adjust to a 3 in pole? (I currently have the Huffy 219078)... I measured the pole a few times, it's only 3 inch not 3.5
Asked by: Joe - 4/3/2016
A: This only works with the 3 1/2 inch round pole or a 4 in square pole. It does not work with any other sizes larger or smaller such as 3 inches I'm sorry to say. Unfortunately, we don't carry anything that works with 3 inches round.

Q: Is this strong and able to hold a good amount of weight?
Asked by: customer - 3/8/2016
A: It is designed to withstand holding a 54 inch acrylic backboard and slam dunking in addition to that. The manufacturer does not recommend hanging on the rim, however. Slamming the ball and hanging on the rim are two different things and none of the manufacturers recommend hanging on the rim for safety reasons.
