Cute but damaged and having hard time getting replacement

Bought two tables for xmas gifts. Spent much time putting them together only to realize when putting on the top that one was cracked. Contacted competitive edge explain g I would like replacement in time for xmas. Email was sent the week before xmas. Three days later nothing has been shipped. Hey sent an email to manufacturer who is away until after xmas. I wrote to company myself and was told no more tops are available and to ask for a refund. Why can't competitive just ship me another top from an unsold table? Waste of my time and $100. This was the first and last time I will buy from them.

Competitive Edge (Seller) Response: When an item is damaged we request a replacement through the manufacturer. Normally it is a very quick process. Unfortunately this order was delayed due to the holiday rush, but a replacement was sent out.
