10x10 Super Deluxe Kodiak Canvas VX Tent 6013

This tent is sturdy built to last. Vertical walls tall ceiling perfect for taller peeps. Just used it out in the eastern sierras in some rain and decent wind. Not one drop of water inside. Only con would be the size and weight but worth it for solid support.

Husband and I have had the above mentioned tent about a week and a half now. We are thoroughly delighted with it, and that's an understatement! This tent is a brick house compared to the tent we had previously. That thing was a paper bag in comparison (won't mention the brand). The solid construction is mind blowing in every regard. The materials are tough and long lasting (we hope), won't tear or shred in the sun and wind like our old one. We've already had some rain as well, and though it's not completely waterproof, it is water resistant and kept us and our stuff mostly dry. Our primary concerns have been durability, warmth/coolness, and zippers. We have a Kitty with us who managed to tear through our old tent a couple of times and we did our best to repair it, but it kept tearing. Our new Kodiak tent, though, is tough enough to thwart her claws! And it's quiet in the wind, though that hasn't been too bad lately. The zipper on the main front door is a little tight in places. Is it a metal zipper or plastic? We can't quite tell. Do you have a lubricant or a recommendation for something to make it a little easier to use? We are in and out of the tent many times during the day and this is a vital function for us. The window zippers seem just fine so far. If the zipper does fail in the future, do you have replacements for it? I realize we have another door we could utilize, but would prefer to use the main front door. Anyway, I would give this amazing tent a 9.5 out of 10, only because of it not quite being waterproof (felt dampness seeping through in places) and the tightness of the door zipper. Also, when putting the tent up initially, we had a difficult time with getting the two side poles onto the rings at the bottom. But that may have been because everything was still zipped up. We may try to put the poles on the bottom rings first rather than the top and see if that is easier to do, if/when necessary. Hopefully we won't have to do that any time soon! Found a permanent place to camp for as long as we need it. We are very pleased with the Kodiak canvas tent and feel it is worth every cent! Highly recommend it, as it was recommended to us by another camper!!

I used this tent on a week long trip to the California desert. The tent worked great. Lots of room. I'm buying the smaller one for short trips out of the Jeep or SXS.

I'm a wildlife photography hobbyist and I've had my Kodiak for a year and a half. I've done four 10-day camps, two in the winter. It's big and roomy. I can fit a cot, a desk, computer and camera gear with room left for a dog bed and and a safely placed Buddy heater. A crawl-in tent is fine for a weekend, but for extended camp Kodiak is the best choice by far.

I own three tents now, this new addition, the Kodiak 10x 10, fits inbetween my Springbar Skyliner and my Gazelle T4 Overland. I am very happy with the quality, price, roominess, ventilation and extras that came in this bundle deal. I would buy again and from Competitive Edge Products without hesitiation.

Awesome tent

Amazing Tent I have enjoyed camping in it.

Set up tent for the first time recently on a camping trip and found it to be pretty easy. We had high winds (~40 mph gusts) during the trip and the tent held up well. It never seemed like it was going to come down. It was also in the mid to upper 20's in temp and with a Mr. Buddy heater the tent stayed very comfortable. Highly recommend
