Lifetime 12.5x8 Storage Shed 60223 Garden Building

Just finished building this shed and I’m very impressed. I installed it over a raised deck style platform with concrete footings. Laid sheets of plywood over 2x6 joists. Shed went up with little trouble, but it took a long time. I would say plan to spend 1-2 days on your foundation and another 2 days on your shed install. This shed iwas easy to assemble and looks great. We had no missing parts and the instructions were very clear.

The shed was fairly easy to assemble. Good directions and video. Could do most of it by myself, but had a little help on the ceiling and walls. Couldn't get the door slide lock to quite line up, but an easy fix with a longer bolt and a couple of washers for spacers.

I purchased this shed about a year ago. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this one. I'm quite happy with my purchase and it seems like the shed will last for many years. I also received some great customer support through Competitive Edge and Lifetime to fix an issue with my floor panels (more details below). The shed has a few fit and finish issues, but I think that's to be expected at the price point. I think my actual rating would be something like a 4.5, but I'm rounding up to 5 to help boost its visibility. The shed has performed well for me. I'm using it as expanded storage for tools, bikes, camping gear, pool supplies, etc. I like that I can get in and out of the shed without hitting my head (I'm 5'10") and that it has double-doors to help with larger items. I find the ground-level shed to be very convenient storage space for anything heavy or that I access on a regular basis for yardwork or pool maintenance. The shed has held up to some pretty windy days (60 mph gusts), a rainy winter, and the typical dry heat (up to 110 deg F) in the summer. It doesn't freeze or snow where I live so I can't attest to the shed's performance in that weather. I unpacked and organized everything before starting. I found that I had duplicates of the two end floor panels and only 1 of 3 of the "interior" floor panels. I contacted Competitive Edge customer support, who forwarded my request to Lifetime customer support. Lifetime shipped me the correct floor pieces. It only took a single email from me to trigger this support. I received the pieces I needed in about a week. As a personal challenge, I managed to build the entire shed by myself without any major issues. It definitely would have gone faster and been less sketchy with another person though (I was holding support beams in place with my head while screwing them together at times). It took me about 12-16 hours in total (including unpacking and cleanup. The assembly instructions are good, so you just need one person who can understand and follow the instructions well. The other person's main function would be another set of hands to hold panels and support beams in place during assembly in a few key steps. I already had a concrete pad on the side of my house that fit this, so I had to do minimal area prep. I decided to go with Tapcon screws to hold the floor down to the concrete pad.

I received the shed in a timely manner but it was missing some parts. This was disturbing because I had hired someone to put the shed together and they were unable to do so because of the missing parts. I called customer service and after a medium wait for someone to answer the customer service representative I dealt with was professional and ordered the parts that I needed and I have received notice that they have shipped and will be delivered in a timely manner.
