I'm very happy with my shed. The doors face north and the metal trim started to rust. Mekenna was great. She understood my need processed it quickly and remembered to include the hardware.

The shed once it was erected is really great. Had 4 people, a machinist, a mechanical engineer, and 2 backyard carpenters. Took about 27 hours to erect it due to the absolutely horrible and some times incorrect assembly instructions. None of us still can't figure out how the simple window locks work ! Would love to see the person who wrote the assembly directions put one up.

Great size! Easy to put together... definitely a two/three person job for some steps.

We bought the 6415 shed in 2009 and it has been perfect since putting it together. At that time (5 years ago) the instructions were not very good. It went together OK, just was hard to understand the what parts were what, and what the assembly goal of some pages was. The shed lasted in great shape until December 2013. There was 18 inches of wet snow in one day. It bent the trusses, and the roof caved almost all the way in. To be fair, there were LOTS of other buildings and homes that had roof problems too with this unusual wet snow. This was a once in a century snow, I believe. We were able to jack the trusses back up, straightening the bent parts of the metal trusses as we went. We never disassembled the roof, but the panels went back up with the trusses and it now DOES NOT LEAK. There are lots of screws that popped out of the roof panels, but the roof still seems quite solidly attached. I attached some 2x6s to the trusses and propped them up with a couple more from the floor to provide support for the now-weakened, re-bent trusses. We will see if it lasts another winter. We may order new plastic roof panels, and maybe trusses next year to assure the roof is solid again and it will look better (panels sag a little from being bent, making it look worse than it is). Well, the end of the story is that we needed yet more storage room. Even considering the near-loss of the roof on our 2009 shed, we still liked it well enough that we ordered another shed from Lifetime; the exact same model and I assembled it 5 feet away from the current one. The 2014 instructions were better, or maybe I thought so because I had already assembled one. I think they are better, although the parts identification could still be a little better for some of the metal parts. It took me almost three days to assemble it by myself. I had to innovate some "third hands" for a couple of places where two people were recommended for assembly, but I got by. I did make some mistakes and had some do-overs. I also did some things out of sequence (don't DO that!) that required dis-assembly/re-assembly. You may see in some reviews about assuring a level, square foundation. That is SO TRUE. Whatever time you spend assuring a level surface is time well spent. I built mine on the pure sand of our place, no concrete or wood floor. Our 2009 shed was built the same and worked fine. I was not as careful with leveling in 2014, and had to shove sand in and take sand out underneath the structure as I was assembling it. Wasted a LOT of time, which is part of why it took almost three days to complete. Overall, it assembled well, with steady effort. Would have been much better with another person and a perfectly level base. When you get your shed complete, you will like the way it looks, like the way it works and feel good about buying it.
