This in ground goal is so much better than the others in strength and the backboard is much more realistic as well. I also like that it is bolt down so it can be removed without a lot of hassle.

Overall this is a nice basketball goal. The instructions are very easy to follow and it was simple to put together. The hardest part was digging the footing and pouring concrete but it wasn't too bad. I matched the dimensions required 21x21x30 and it took exactly 13 bags of 80lb Quikcrete. I really like being able to level it and adjust as needed via the anchor bolts. If I ever wanted to move or sell it easy to unbolt and remove. I didn't intend to buy one with a glass backboard but I like it and the ball bounces off it nicely. The rim is very solid and sturdy. The crank adjustment is nice and easy to use. My only complaint is the pole the tubing thickness is way too thin. Every shot results in a good amount of wobble even at 7. 5'. I can somewhat live with that but there is absolutely no way this thing will hold up if anyone tries to dunk on it. It's a shame because I think everything else is sturdy enough. The tubing is just too thin. There are some gussets at the bottom flange for support but it's not enough. If I would fill the pole with concrete that would make the pole strong enough but it would probably need larger anchors to accommodate the extra weight. It's unfortunate because I like everything else about the goal. , 9/30/2022, 3 James, Good Quality And Relatively Easy To Install. , I purchased and installed this basketball system a few months ago. It seems to be of good quality and the instructions were easy to follow. I suggest you purchase a few additional bags of concrete to be certain you have enough to finish the job. I calculated the concrete requirements and purchased 3 additional bags in advance. Glad I did because I used it all. , 9/4/2022, 5 H Smith, Awesome Customer Service, I bought a Lifetime Basketball goal from Dicks Sporting brought it home and started to unpack it. While doing so we noticed the hardware was missing and the backboard wash shattered. We took an inventory of the missing and damaged parts and contacted Customer Service Rep Alexis she was awesome and extremely helpful with the process. It took one phone call and a few emails and within 24 hrs she had everything processed and followed up with the tracking number. Great personality and easy to work with. I appreciate how fast and easy it was. . Thank you Lifetime and Thank you Alexis HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIFETIME, 8/26/2022, 5 Charles B, Gymnasium Quality Feel With Minimal Amount Of Movement. , This hoop has a gymnasium quality feel to it and is a great deal for the price. There is some shake but not bad for a 2-piece 4 pole. When I first installed the concrete and anchor base I did so improperly and had to remove it. I called Lifetime Customer Service and spoke with Shannon. She was pleasant professional; did an amazing job helping me and ultimately sent me a brand-new anchor kit free of charge. I can't say enough about Shannon and Lifetime Customer Service! It is important that you use 3 people when installing the system onto the anchor because of how awkward it is to move the unit once assembled.

I bought this system to replace a portable system that kept falling over during high winds. This thing is stable as a rock. Also got it on sale which was great for a glass backboard. Much more durable and good looking system than a portable system. Can't comment on the longevity of the product as I just installed it a week ago. Look forward to hours of play on it.

I couldn't beat the price. Takes time to put together but directions were clear. Definitely need 3 strong men to lift pole in to place. Customer Service was great!

Installed this hoop over the weekend and so far it's been great! PURCHASE and PICKUP. I live about an hour from Competitive Edge so I was able to take advantage of local pickup. That saved me over $100 off the web price which made this a fantastic deal. Even the sale price on a 60" in-ground backboard hoop at the local sporting goods store didn't come close. So I've very happy with what I got vs. what I paid. Competitive edge was super easy to deal with on the phone, their staff was knowledgeable about the products, and the ordering process was simple. DIGGING THE HOLE. I installed it myself with the help of a couple people. Digging the hole went about as expected . . . the instructions say to go 30" deep and 21" square. My hole was only about 28" deep and maybe 16-18" square just because the ground was getting pretty hard at that depth. Even with that size hole it took just under eight 80 lb bags of concrete. I had just a little concrete left over from the 8th bag. I felt like if I would have had the exact dimensions I might have needed 9 bags. I let the cement cure for about 60 hours (72 was recommended) and commenced with installing the hoop. Instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. ASSEMBLY. I also assembled the hoop myself with the help of my teenage son. All of the parts were clearly labeled and nearly everything went together as planned. The only hiccup I had was putting the two-piece pole together. I had read some horror stories online from other brands of the pieces not fitting together so we were prepared for a difficult step. At the recommendation of some other brands, I sprayed a little silicone lubricant on the 2 pieces hoping to make the process a little easier. DON'T DO IT! YOU DON'T NEED IT with the Lifetime product. We did 3 hits on a block of wood exactly as described in the instructions and wouldn't you know it . . . we went too far. UGH! I called Lifetime customer service (waited about 20 minutes on hold) before being told that as long as the pole is 117. 5" or longer you're okay. Luckily we were at 118" exactly. (the instructions say if it's less than 118. 5" then call customer service . . . looks like you get a 1" buffer). The rest of the assembly was as simple as following the instructions. I'd say it took about an hour to assemble the pole, support arms, backboard, and rim. FINAL PLACEMENT. I did this step with the help of my 70 year old dad. We backed a pickup truck to the pole, put the hoop/backboard in the back of the truck, then I squatted under the hoop in the back of the truck and we were able to lift it over the cement bolts and into place. The hoop was lowered all the way . . . I think it would have to be to use the method I just described. Using a level we got the hoop level and square and tightened everything up. It sure looks good! GAMEPLAY. Love it!!! It's just the right size for my yard. My court space is about 25'x25' and this fits nicely. A 72" backboard would have been overkill. Game play is awesome! The hoop wobbles just a little between shots, but really it's stable by the time you take another shot. I would classify it as negligible. If you dunk and grab the rim, then yes, it will wobble for a few seconds. The rim has a solid feel . . . it you throw up a 'brick', it's going to bounce. The backboard is tempered glass so it has a real solid feel vs. a plastic/poly backboard. Throwing one down and grabbing the rim feels solid and well-built. At 210 lb I won't be hanging on the rim much, but it feels like it would hold me for a second or two. (don't try that at home). This system has a hand-crank to raise it up and down. The pneumatic systems look cooler and are more expensive, but the crank is just as functional. My 12 year old can put it up and down with ease. The sales rep mentioned that the pneumatic handles wear out before the crank ones do so I think this will be just fine. Plus, we don't seem to be putting it up and down several times in a shooting session. We set it at a given height and play. Overall I'm totally happy with everything. Good value, great product, great service. I would buy it again in a heartbeat

Bought about a month ago and we have had so much fun playing. It was a bit of a bear to put up, but luckily had some strong friends to come help. Really glad that I bought crank down instead of quick release. It allows me to put at different heights

The net was installed as per the instruction. Others have reviewed this saying it was wobbly. I took the chance thinning it would be better than our movable one. This is significantly worse. The product looks nice instruction were decent but it shakes for at least 30 seconds after every shot. Everyone that comes over to use it has noticed it. Terrible product
