This product was just what I was looking for: a basketball rim that was sturdy, didn't exhibit too much spring, yet was reasonably priced and had a warranty to back the product descriptions' claims. Its not the right size for our basketball goal!

I would recommend this item and site to family, coworkers, and friends. However, for the size basketball goal we will be welding to in our park, its not the right size. It will not stop us from ordering other items and using this site frequently.

Q: How do I attach this to a wall without a backboard or pole?

A: There are four bolt holes that attach the rim to the backboard. You could potentially use those holes, but you would want to make sure they are fastened properly to a structure where they cannot come off if someone is slam dunking or hanging on the rim.

A: These are designed to be used with a lifetime brand backboard. It has 4 holes to both it to the backboard. It could potentially be bolted to a wall, but you would want to make sure that the wall was reinforced with the material substantial enough to support people dunking or hanging on the rim.

A: This model is considered the classic/standard model of rim. It does not include springs. It does include hardware to attach it to your existing lifetime backboard, but it is not spring-loaded.
