Q: Can I put the foundation kit on level gravel and can I put a smaller than 8x10 suncast shed on it?

Asked by: Dan banes - 1/29/2024
A: Yes you can put it on gravel. You still put plywood on the foundation so you can put whatever you’d like that fits.

Q: I need 6' X 20' galvanized foundation kit. I will make my own shed on top of it. Do you have one?

Asked by: Henry - 8/26/2022
A: Although the lifetime sheds include a floor, the manufacturer recommends placing the shed on a flat structure such as a wooden foundation made of treated 2x4's and OSB board that you can pick up from your local home improvement store. The instructions (available to view online) show just how to build it and what materials are needed. The other recommendation is a concrete slab. The concrete slab is more pricey to erect. It is very important to make sure it is flat and drains well. If it isn't flat you may run into issues with your doors closing properly. Feel free to contact us with any other questions.

Q: Ground preparation needed for foundation kid to sit on? Does the shed attach to it? Can I order the shed with this now for a March delivery?

Asked by: P Wong - 11/7/2020

We aren't able to hold an order that long, but you are welcome to have it delivered and then just assemble it in March, or you can also wait to order it till the beginning of next year.

Q: About how long does it take to set the foundation up with the shed?

Asked by: Sarah - 2/22/2020
A: That depends on how experienced you are at putting things together. An assembly man will take much less time than someone who hasn't done it before. Probably a full Saturday, or a few different days. Also the foundation will take some time to cure.

The most heavy duty foundation kit I've seen
I've helped people in our neighborhood build these sheds and they all choose the wood option. And that's been just fine. Then I saw this foundation kit on the display models at their local store and was blown away. It's like overkill times 10 on steroids. It's ridiculously strong. Totally recommend it.

Easy To Setup, Very Sturdy And Perfect Base For The Shed!
In looking for a base for the shed I knew that dirt just wouldn't cut it. We've seen friends shed's have issues with the doors over time when they install the shed on the ground. I didn't want the expense and headache of pouring concrete for such a small space. I'm sure a wood platform would have worked, but I wanted something sturdy, level and that would last for decades. This fit the bill. Installation was simple. This is very sturdy and I love that I don't have to worry about this rotting or having issues with weather over the years. All hardware was included.

60210 foundation kit
This kit is worth the money. High quality material. The only reason I give it a four star, not a five is because of the assembly. It would be so much easier if it were constructed with nuts and bolts instead of screws. Definitely takes more than one person to assemble. Still, I am glad I purchased it.

Foundation Kit
Very disappointed! Purchased two sheds and then found out I needed a foundation before they could deliver them. Was excited to find the foundation kits but two weeks later found out they were on back order! No idea when they would be in production. No choice but to cancel my order. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Still no sheds. . . . . Response from Lifetime: Lifetime would love to hear why you gave this product only one star. They appreciate getting feed back from customers in order to improve. Please give their customer service a call. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at [email protected]. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).
