Awesome shed !

I wasn't crazy about a plastic shed idea, but living in south Florida my previous 2 sheds, metal rusted in less then a year, wood rotted in no time with wildlife moving in under and inside, this seemed logical to try. Humidity is extremely damaging quickly around here. This shed was very easy to assemble-my wife and I did it ourselves in a day, I built a paver base under and it's great. This shed will last Way longer here than a wood or metal shed. Way longer. Pressure-treated wood nowadays is a joke and forget metal around here. Love this shed

Very Please

I bought this a couple weeks ago and my father-in-law and I put it together in a day. The instructions were very clear and for those parts that needed a little more description, you just had to scan the QR code to see a little video on the particular section you were working on. Fantastic. Also, I would like to comment on the fact that every bag of nuts, bolts and screws had at least one extra; which was very convenient. This is a great looking shed and I would not hesitate to recommend this item to anyone. Great product

Tough

This shed had stood two winters in Eden, Utah with lots of snow. Horses have bumped/leaned into it and it remains standing. Very handy to use. Even I could put it up!

Perfect For My Harley Touring Bike!

This shed has been the best investment I made for maintaining three Harley-Davidson motorcycles over many years. It is strongly constructed and easy to keep clean. The shelving systems are usable even for heavy items and I am able to use the walls for tools and equipment. Nice design for the roof support structure. I have told many of my riding buddies about it. Now I'm thinking about expanding it to make more room for another bike someday

Great Looking & Sturdy Shed

I have had this shed for 4 years now and it still looks great. Just wash it off with a hose to make it look new again. It has remained water tight through many storms and the construction is very solid. You might want help putting one of these up but I was able to do it by myself. I really think it will outlast a wooden shed, especially the looks. I liked it so much that I recently bought another bigger one to set beside it and I highly recommend it for a small storage unit

Lots of Bang for the Buck!

We are the proud new owners of a model #60056 8x10 ft outdoor shed. Construction went well, instructions were easy to follow (we had only 1 small glitch which was quickly clarified by customer service). I must emphasize a level firm foundation and remember this is a 2-3 person project. Now that I have finished installing some of the available interior shelving accessories, my wife has classified the shed 'very spiffy' Pros: very durable, little need for ongoing maintenance, wide and tall entryway, blends well with surroundings. Cons: shipping weight and size (delivery can be a good idea) and many many pieces to door handle assembly

Structurally Sound And Versatile With Many Options

My wife and I purchased the 8'X 10' storage shed in 2013 and after 3 winters it's still being used daily. On a daily basis it is exposed to wind, rain, extreme temperature swings and lots of sun and through all of this, the only issue that has developed is the sunlight beginning to come loose (fixable) Good Product. Delivery Details: This product ships directly from Lifetime Products in Clearfield, UT. Delivery of this product is via a curbside delivery through an LTL carrier (too big for UPS and FedEx). The customer may be required to be present to sign for the order. The freight carrier is instructed to contact you prior to delivery to set up a delivery appointment. The carrier will unload the product by means of a lift gate. In some cases items may be too large to fit on the lift gate and may require assistance from the customer helping unload box-by-box (takes only a few minutes).

Q: Does this unit have a floor?

A: Although the lifetime sheds include a floor, the manufacturer recommends placing the shed on a flat structure such as a wooden foundation made of treated 2x4's and OSB board that you can pick up from your local home improvement store. The instructions (available to view online) show just how to build it and what materials are needed. The other recommendation is a concrete slab. The concrete slab is more pricey to erect. It is very important to make sure it is flat and drains well. If it isn't flat you may run into issues with your doors closing properly.

We don't do installation ourselves, but you can call 800-336-3865x1 to be set up with an assembly company in your area, we also have a list of recommended installers: https://www.competitiveedgeproducts.com/assembly-and-installation-services.html Or you can find a local handyman through mobile apps like: Takl, Angieslist, and HomeAdvisor. We have also found that customers are far more successful at getting more competitive local assembly/installation rates if you join a local Facebook classifieds group and create a post like, "Looking for a licensed and insured handyman to assemble my ......." You are likely to get several competitive bids eliminating the middle man. You can also use the BILT app which has 3-dimensional instructions for many Lifetime items.

A: We don't provide installation on any of our items. Most customers assemble these items themselves (and the owner's manual is available if you'd like to take a look at it). If you do hire out assembly, we recommend using the app/website called Thumbtack. It connects you with local installers. You type in what you're looking for an it will give you a price. We are not affiliated with them, but I personally used have used it and highly recommend it based off of customer's feedback. You can see the installers ratings from other customers and get a bid via text before committing.

A: There are a lot of youtube videos showing how to build a lifetime shed. There isn't one for this specific model, but I would definitely look at some of them as they all go together very similarly and it's not difficult.

Q: Wind speed it can withstand

A: Lifetime has an official wind rating on their plastic sheds of 65mph. I've personally seen them hold up in higher winds and feel that rating is pretty conservative, but that's what they officially publish.

Q: you have a steel foundation option. what exactly is the foundation versus the floor?

A: All our lifetime sheds include a plastic floor, but you will need a foundation to set it on. The manufacturer recommends placing the shed on a flat structure such as a wooden foundation made of treated 2x4's and OSB board that you can pick up from your local home improvement store. The instructions show just how to build it and what materials are needed. The other recommendation is a concrete slab. The concrete slab is more pricey to erect. It is very important to make sure it is flat and drains well. If it isn't flat you may run into issues with your doors closing properly. Feel free to contact us with any other questions. There is an optional metal foundation kit that can be purchased instead of building one.

Q: What size box or boxes would an 8x10 shed come in?

A: This ships in 2 large boxes that are approximately 8’ x 2. 5’ x 2’ When we got our shed we were able to carry the boxes with three adults, you can also open up the boxes and transport an arm full of panels at a time if you prefer.

Q: What size box would this shed be delivered in?

A: I'm old and the friends I have are my age or older so carrying each (heavy)box was not an option for me. I used my 2-wheel furniture dolly by myself and moved both boxes to my backyard. (On Concrete walkway) BTW, box# 2 felt like 50 lbs. lighter than box #1. Just make sure you can run a heavy 2-wheel dolly. Use the strap!

A: Lifetime has made extension kits in the past, but they have not for a few years due to material shortages. I recommend buying the size you need at the beginning so you don't have to worry about whether they will make them again in the future.

A: Yes, it is waterproof. You should not get any water through the roof. There are air-flow vents below the peaks and even then it should allow any moisture unless you are getting horizontal rain/wind.

A: This shed includes a floor, The manufacturer recommends placing the shed on a flat structure such as a wooden foundation made of treated 2x4's and OSB board that you can pick up from your local home improvement store. The instructions show just how to build it and what materials are needed. The other recommendation is a concrete slab. The concrete slab is more pricey to erect. A: Here is the 60056 assembly Manual. Lifetime requires that all parts requests go through their parts department. That way their expert customer service team can make sure they get you the exact parts you need. Again, the quickest way to receive a replacement part that was damaged/defective/missing is by contacting the number on the front of the owner's manual - Lifetime's parts department where they will be able to assist you with this. **Please note that today is the busiest day of the year for them, so I strongly recommend emailing them, or calling later in the week so you don't have to wait on hold as long.** Please make sure you have your 7 digit product ID also found on the front of the instruction manual. If you don't have the product ID you can still get the parts, they just may not be able to verify your warranty. You can call them at Lifetime Products, Inc - tel. 800-225-3865 or you can email them and they respond very quickly at [email protected]. Make sure to reference your model number and the parts numbers in the owners manual. Feel free to contact us with any other questions.

A: Those are manufactured on a frequent basis. The next couple batches have already been pre-ordered, so if you order now yours should ship with the batch after that. If you order now yours should ship within 3-4 weeks. If you wait to order, then it will ship approximately 3-4 weeks from when you do order. once it ships it typically takes 3-7 business days to receive depending on your location.

Q: HOW DOES THIS FASTEN TO THE GROUND TO KEEP THE WIND FROM BLOWING IT AROUND?

A: You can anchor this to the ground if it is sitting on concrete. On the interior of the shed on the floor there are several points of contact where you can add concrete anchors (purchase locally at your hardware store). If you are anchoring it to a wooden base you can use lag bolts in the same location as shown in the instruction manual.

Q: Would this shed be okay to put in insulation and sheet rock? I am wanting a building to use as a office at home.

A: Unfortunately, the structure simply is not strong enough to hold insulation and sheet rock with the existing steel frame. As far as I've heard with all of the brands that we carry you would need something that is a wooden shed to support that. They are not maintenance free, but structurally they are much stronger than metal and plastic sheds. They would be able to be insulated and you could hang sheet rock without worry.

A: Most of the delivery trucking companies we use for this shed will have machines on the back of their trucks, called lift gates, which will lower the boxes to the ground for you. However, in rare instances, the freight truck will not have that machine handy. In those cases, the boxes will need to be pulled off one at a time. Please make sure you plan your appointment accordingly so you sufficient help.

Q: What is the different from the 60056 and the 6405 Lifetime shed?

A: The 60056 is more directed to excellent aesthetic design. The 60056 Lifetime storage shed has some additional trimming on the edge of the walls that the 6405 does not have. The 60056 also has shutters on the widows. Lastly, the 60056 allows in a lot more natural light than the skylights on the 6405. The 6405 Lifetime Shed, on the other hand, has some additional shelving units, with 2 corner shelves and 2 10x30 inch shelves.
