Hybrid Portable Basketball Hoop

Are you ready to start developing your game? The Ultimate Hybrid from Spalding is your next step to greatness. This system provides a large shooting space with its 54 inch wide backboard. This portable system is among the most stable in the market with its large base that can fill up with about 200-lbs of sand or gravel along with an additional 19 gallons of water inside the removable lid on the base. In addition to the wait inside the base, the base is designed to allow further offsetting weight to be placed on top of the base. What does this mean to you? A super, stable shooting experience. Fill Material: Fill with water or sand. Fill plug on top and drain plug on side of most models for portability. About 50% of water may be drained to easily move around. Replacement caps available through the manufacturer's customer service.
Height Adjustment Type: Uses the Screw Jack Lift height adjuster by Spalding.
Adjustment Details: One handed lift system for convenient adjusting. Allows for both children and adults to play.
Rim Adjustment Heights: 7.5 feet to 10 feet in infinite increments.

Great goal, difficult to assemble!

I have had this goal up for about two weeks. It is very, very nice. Looks like a goal you would find in a gym. The base is VERY sturdy. The rim and backboard does move when you shoot but not too bad. I am unsure if that is supposed to be the case or if I should tighten it. This is a portable goal, but it is really designed to sit in one spot. Even without the sand bags, it is heavy and awkward to move once the backboard is on. The only real negative about this product is how difficult and time consuming it is to put together. I would recommend 3 people and at least 5 hours. Getting the pole connected to the base took forever because you can't see what you are doing and it is at an awkward angle. I would have much rather paid someone to do it, but I am not sure I would be confident in the final product whereas now I know. All in all, very pleased with the quality

A: This hybrid model actually feels with both water and sand. There is a bladder/On the top that fills with water and underneath that you feel it with sand/sandbags.
