*The 7891SP can only be used as a replacement on specific Spalding brand basketball systems. If you know your Spalding system uses this Arena Slam rim, this is the same rim used on your system. I definitely would recommend this hoop

We have had our original Spaulding rim for over 7 years and the kids have grown quite a bit so needless to say the hoop finally capitulated this year. We purchased this hoop as a replacement and the structural build of this hoop is far superior to the basic rim we had. My guess if we had this rim from the start it would still be in good shape today. I definitely would recommend this hoop to anyone replacing an old or broken hoop - you will not be disappointed especially at Competitive Edge's price!

Q: I purchased Pro Slam all metal Breakaway rim with blackboard from you last summer, but item destroyed by garbage truck. They replaced the backboard fine, but the rim they used has a cheap plastic housing, not at all solid like the $55 original rim. They claim that the all metal rim is no longer available, yet you still advertise it on your web site. Do you have one to send me that is indeed all metal with nylon net?

A: I'm not 100% sure that I understand your question. This rim is definitely steel and has steel net hooks.

A: The rim of course is metal. The box housing between the rim the the backboard is now made of inferior orange plastic. I want the original solid orange metal housing.

However, Spalding does not publish enough information to determine if this rim will work with your system if you do not already know you have the Arena Slam rim from Spalding.
