Use as a Replacement

The 7800SP can only be used as a replacement on specific Spalding brand basketball systems. If you know your Spalding system uses this Slam Jam rim, this is the same rim used on your system. If you are not sure, please contact Spalding's customer service at 800-558-5234 before ordering to ensure you are getting the correct rim.

*Compatible with these Spalding basketball hoop models: 88366, 88307PR, 88355, 88349, 88354PR, 88351, 68454, 68564, 72307PR, 66291, 66355, 66349, 72354, 72351, 61259, 79564, 79307, 79355, 79349, 79354, 79351, 80348, 80348, 80318, and 80602R. Please check your bolt pattern before ordering.

Use as a New Rim

If you are setting up a new system with your own backboard design, please refer to the features and measurements below.

5/8" (1.6 cm) heavy-duty solid steel red Pro Slam rim.
The bolt pattern for this unit is 2-7/8"x2-1/2".
Regulation 18-inch diameter.
Huffy slam jam basketball rim has ultra-smooth spring action.
Huffy basketball rim has a universal mounting plate.
Basketball breakaway rims have a durable, powder-coated finish.
These Replacement Huffy Basketball Rims include a White all-weather net.

Spalding replacement rim

Sorry but I cannot recommend this item. The brackets on the rim,to hold the net, are poorly made and break off from the rim. I have ordered this product twice and this happened both times within the first week of use. Very disappointed in the way this rim is manufactured. Will not order again.

Easy installation

This replacement basketball rim was very easy to install. My son and his friends pretty much completed the job and he is not very mechanically inclined.

Slamming Hoop

The hoop is very well constructed, the shipment arrived FAST - I am pleased with the purchase. But is it really necessary to have a spring loaded hoop for kids who most likely could never reach the rim?Or should we encourage players to showboat or intimidate without risk to themselves or to the game. ?We got the rim for a very specific purpose and as specified. But for general playground use in a harsh environment, I guess this would be a good choice.

Q: Can this be hung on a wall? Or is there a smaller version? This is for my sons room

A: It's not intended to be hung on a wall, and it doesn't have the parts necessary to bolt it into a stud. You would need separate parts. I would recommend the RAMGOAL which is a mini residential basketball hoop that's intended to be mounted to a wall.
