Swag Tension Pole Accessory 100260

This Aluminum twist lock tension pole is a nice add-on accessory for the 8101 Swag tent. Simply insert the pins on this pole into the grommets at the top head and foot of the swag tent and extend the pole until the tent is taut. This is a useful accessory when it's difficult to find ground to put the guy out stakes in. Ideal for use in a truck bed, or cot.

Why do you need this pole? You don't. It is optional. It gives the added convenience to make your Swag freestanding (without use of guy ropes and stakes). It will also make the frame a little stiffer. This pole will fold up and roll up in the swag for easy storage.

The weight is 1 lb. Ship weight (with packaging) is approx 2 lbs.

It's just a pole

If you are buying the Kodiak Swag Tent you need the Swag Tension Pole to make it self supporting, it's cheaper buying together at the get go. Unfortunately the window flaps will still require something if you want to get them extended out. I hope in the future they create a ground level anchor system that will allow the tent to be self supporting without a bar overtop of you or having stakes and strings supporting tents' structure. It's only a 5 star rating because it's relatively cheap and nothing better is available yet. If you want to quickly roll out and try it as soon as it arrives inside your home you will need this.

Q: What Do I use the pole for?

A: The tension pole is designed to work solely with the kodiak 1-person swag tent. It is not required to use the swag tent, but it does allow the tent to be stand-alone. Meaning, you don't have to use the guy ropes to keep it up.
