I could not be more pleased with the customer service with this company or this product. I needed to order this to coincide with my brother in law coming from a state away to help build the garage, and the customer service from both this company - competitive edge - as well as the manufacturer were outstanding in answering my questions regarding shipping time and making sure everything went smoothly. We could not be happier with the result. Lumber all came in great condition and quickly (to K C K area). Assembly was not difficult for someone with a little construction experience, although I would not have been prepared for small things like anchoring the frame to the slab if I were relying on instructions alone instead of my brother in law, and a few extra tools such as a hammer drill and professional framing nail gun. To hand nail or have a less powerful nail gun would have added significant time. Took two and a half full days, including framing and pouring an extension on our cement slab, to complete with two men, plus help from a teenager for 6-8 hours. Finished Tyvek wrapped and the roof & shingles the next weekend with the wife, and we will finish the siding this weekend (hardy board slats for about $500 extra for the siding). If we weren't simultaneously finishing a retaining wall to protect our new garage we would already be done with the siding.

Practically built itself! Started with concrete slab and raised curb to provide more interior height. Modifications included adding studs to make 16” O.C., fire blocks, reduced width to 11’ (adds 6” to eave overhangs), self flashing skylights, Werner pull down attic stairs, sectional garage door with side mount opener, 110 and 220 volt wiring, LED lighting, 8’ x 4’ XOX casement window, open out side door, wall mount barn lights, wall, ceiling, and roof insulation, 1/2” plywood interior walls, 3/8” plywood ceiling, obligatory “man cave” urinal, sink, lean-to exterior enclosure housing noisy dust collector and air compressor, through-wall air conditioner with remote, woodworking equipment with dust collection ducting, and ridge roof vent. Mostly DIY solo build (retired 73 y.o.) although I hired a roofer due to the steep slope. I highly recommend using an air nailer for the framing, siding, roof sheeting and interior plywood. The 16’ long walls require 2 guys to raise, especially if you’re trying to line up the foundation bolts. It’s good to know you can buy matching LP siding and trim at Home Depot. I needed more to fill the wider soffits where I added screened vent intakes which bring air in to exit out the ridge vents. All in all, it was an easy build so even if you’re an old duffer like me, don’t be afraid to jump in! Review Source: Manufacturer

This was a good purchase. The instructions were adequate and the material came out in good condition. The only odd thing is that some of the roof sheathing was pre-cut and some was not. Also, even with thinking through all of the sheathing cuts, I still had to purchase 1 more piece from the local hardware store. Not the end of the world. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and am excited to start using.
