We couldn’t be happier with the Monkey Bar Adventure Swingset! Everything arrived extremely well packaged, and all of the parts were organized and protected. The instructions were clear, easy to follow, and made assembly much more straightforward than we expected. Once assembled, we were impressed with the overall quality. The materials feel durable, and the entire playset is very sturdy and well built. We’ve had it installed for a couple of weeks now, and it’s held up great with daily use. Most importantly, our kids absolutely love it. They spend hours climbing, swinging, sliding, and playing on it every day. If you’re looking for a high-quality, sturdy playset that’s well engineered and easy to assemble, we highly recommend the Monkey Bar Adventure Swingset.

Swing set was put up in less than 1 day and my 5 year old granddaughter absolutely loves it. It is big enough for preteens to enjoy it also. I have 1214-year-olds and they are enjoying it. The quality was well worth spending the extra dollars for a good swing.

Looks Very Durable

Purchased this swing set as a Christmas gift for my grandkids. Thus far it looks great. Looks real durable. We live in the US Virgin Islands and it seems as though it can stand up to the Caribbean climate.

Very Pleased

My family and I are very pleased with the product. It is good quality and assembled with relative ease. I'd like to say that dealing with the people at Competitive Edge was equally pleasing. Real people reach out when you place the order and when the order ships. That meant, when I had an issue with a couple of the nuts/bolts, I had someone I could contact, and they sent out a replacement that day, no questions asked. Good customer service seems to be a rarity today, but I found it here.

We love this playset! So much stronger and more durable than our previous wooden playset. Would highly recommend! It did take two of us around 6 hours to complete and we had one screw break (unscrew and try again if you get a lot of resistence before you should; there were no extra pieces but the company was great about mailing a new screw out quickly). A great experience though!

Shipping Your Lifetime Monkey Bar Adventure Swing Set: What to Expect

The Lifetime 91028 Monkey Bar Adventure Swing Set is an earthtone residential playset for children ages 3–12. It includes three belt swings, a trapeze bar with gym rings, monkey bars, a fireman’s pole, and a two-piece 9 ft. slide. The powder-coated steel frame, coated chains, and molded components arrive unassembled in a large shipping crate measuring approximately 38" H x 110.88" L x 31.5" W and weighing approximately 435 lbs.

Current Lead Time: Due to high demand, please allow approximately 1–2 weeks for this item to ship from Lifetime Products in Clearfield, Utah.

Shipping Timeframe Allow approximately 1–2 weeks for the order to leave the warehouse due to current demand. Delivery timing after shipment depends on the destination, freight-carrier route, and appointment availability.

Tracking Information Tracking information is automatically emailed after the order ships. The freight carrier will contact you before delivery to arrange an appointment. This playset ships in a large crate and cannot be divided into four separate delivery boxes before shipment. If separate tracking numbers are provided, monitor each shipment.

Curbside Freight Delivery This approximately 435 lb. playset ships directly from Lifetime Products through an LTL freight carrier because it is too large for standard UPS or FedEx parcel service. Delivery is curbside, and the customer may be required to be present to inspect and sign for the shipment. Liftgate service is used when possible. After delivery, the crate may be opened so the poles and other components can be carried individually to the backyard or assembly area.

Delivery and Inspection Inspect the crate and all packaged components before signing. Check for broken crate boards, punctures, crushed cartons, torn wrapping, broken bands, exposed or bent steel parts, cracked molded components, damaged chains, or damage around the monkey bars, fireman’s pole, slide sections, swing beam, swings, and trapeze bar. Note all visible or suspected damage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves. Before assembly, inventory the frame sections, monkey bars, fireman’s pole, two-piece slide, three belt swings, trapeze bar with gym rings, chains, two included anchors, fasteners, and hardware.

Pro-Tip for Monkey Bar Playset Delivery:

Prepare a level installation area before delivery and arrange for at least two capable adults to move the crate contents from the curb. The assembled playset has an approximate footprint of 17 ft. 5 in. x 14 ft., stands about 7 ft. 8 in. high, and requires a recommended 33 ft. 5 in. x 26 ft. 8 in. safety zone. The slide and monkey-bar sections can be installed on either side when the ladder and related hardware locations are also reversed according to the current manual. Two anchors are included and should be installed as directed. The playset does not require concrete. Each belt swing has a published capacity of 150 lbs. Assembly and installation are not included. Keep the crate, cartons, bands, and packing materials until every component has been inspected and the playset has been fully assembled.

Q: Can this be broken down into 4 boxes for delivery?

A: It cannot. It has to be delivered in a crate on a semi-truck. They do unload it for you to your driveway. They don't bring it around back though. The boxes can be opened to carry the poles to the backyard piece by piece.

A: These have a 5 Year Manufacturer's Warranty through Lifetime Products. If the item is well maintained it should last much longer. The manufacturer gives instructions in the manual for maintenance to help the set last as long as possible. Lifetime also has parts available if anything needs to be replaced.

A: I've had mine for about 12 years and I did replace the belt swings as they were starting to fade from the Utah sun, but they still functioned perfectly, it was purely aesthetic. It's gotten years and years of use with many kids including neighborhood kids. My wife and I would occasionally swing as well.

Q: Can the swings be removed or moved up higher on the chains to accommodate an older/ longer legged child? And with 3 kids swinging on it with no anchor support required as you say, would the swing turn over?? Q: Is it possible to set up so that the monkey bars and slide are on the other side of the set? In all the views the monkey bars and slide are on the right side when you are facing the set but I’d like to be able to set up so they are on the left. Is that possible?

Q: Hi, What’s is the difference between this set 91028 and the 90143 set?

A: They are basically the same with a few minor differences. The newer model has better packaging and is easier to unload from the semi. It has a 2-piece slide vs 1-piece, and it has plastic coated chains versus the plastic handles. It is designed to outlast the older plastic handles in longevity. Here's a comparison chart:

A: These are designed to meet or exceed ASTM standards without anchors. Some places such as daycares or schools are required to have anchors, but otherwise it is just personal preference. 2 are included, but you could use up to 6.

A: All lifetime belt swings have a very conservative rating of 150lbs.

A: The maximum number of occupants that may safely use the entire playset is six with a maximum weight of 600 pounds (272 kg). On-site adult supervision should be provided for children of all ages.
