Great quality
Great swing set, high quality and very sturdy for not having to cement it in. I chose this swing set because we did not want a wood set due to all of the maintenance that goes along with it. The delivery was super fast and they called to schedule an appointment and called an hour before arriving. The guy out it in our driveway and it was easy to unload and move the boxes. My kids love it and this was by far the best price I have seen for this set. Would definitely recommend.

Strong Sturdy Swing Set
I reviewed several swing sets before deciding on this brand. Competitive Edge also had the best pricing out there as well, beating Walmart, Amazon, etc. Installation took about 5 hours, but it could easily be done in 4 hours. I did have to drill out some holes that didn't quite line up, and the three ladders for the monkey bar side are confusing to identify. The ladder with the flat step is the slide side, a key point. Also, the slide holes must be drilled out, but they are plastic and easy to do. All in all, this is a very well built swing set. It can easily support lots of weight. One person can build it, but you do need a person at times just to hold pieces for assembly. I would recommend this set to others, as it should last for many years. Not cheap, but very heavy duty, and much better than those wooden very difficult to build, toddler sets

Great Product Well Organized Instructions/Parts
We just put this together this weekend and my child (age 9. 5) and the neighbor kids (5-14) are having a great time. They love it! This was the best direction manual I have ever seen. Each steps was clearly explained in pictures and short easy to understand text. Having put together many items I was pleasantly surprised to see each of the parts well marked and easy to figure out. Instead of a bag of small parts all together for me to sort out, each section of the swing sets parts was separately marked and attached to a cardboard with clear plastic over it. It make assembly so much easier! Whoever thought of this is a genius! The one thing we did was take a Sharpie and mark the names of each item on the back of the cardboard where we were taking out the pieces which did help. I would highly recommend this item. It costs more than the cheaply made swing sets but it is much better made. I couldn't believe the difference. It is very sturdy. It does take two people and a ladder to assemble but was not difficult at all. The neighbor kids even helped put it together. I have not purchased a Lifetime product before that required assembly. I would definitely purchase one again in the future. Very Impressed.

Great Quality Swing Set
Pros: its a great quality swing set, very sturdy, easy directions and easy to put together with two people. This was the first time I put a swing set together took about 3hrs. I like that you dont have to dig holes in the ground and it can be moved in the yard. I have a 3yr old and this will grow with him. Cons: no cons against the swing set itself but I can see the delivery being an issue for some. My wife and I had to open the crate to unload it when it came. The delivery was on time and the driver did assist us in unloading from the crate but we had to keep the crate (in the end we used it for our fire pit.)

Fantastic Swing Set!
We were hesitant to get this as it was out of our price range. I didn't want a wood swing set and the ones from the stores are to small for my oldest daughter. We absolutely LOVE this swing set!!! This is perfect for all 3 of my kids and will last us a very long time!

Well made, good value, and easy to install play set!
I purchased this swing set to replace a wooden set the kids had outgrown. Unlike the wooden set, installation was trivial as my 8 year old and I were able to complete it in under 5 hours (preparation, unpacking, assembly, and cleanup included). The quality approaches that of professional gear you may find at a municipal park and does not require any additional material conditioning such as a protective stain that you would need for a wooden sets (very expensive and time consuming if done properly). Simply find a level surface or be prepared to level a surface and assemble. Swing set motion is minimal even with multiple kids at play simultaneously. I would recommend this set as it is an excellent balance of quality and value not to mention the kids love it!

Q: How tall are the monkey bars? Or how tall can a kid be before their feet are hitting the ground when going on the bars?

A: They are 92 inches off the ground which is a generous height even for many adults. I am 5'10" and I am able to do the monkey bars-I only know that, because I have this in my backyard. I'm not in the habit of doing the monkey bars though. I do enjoy swinging with the kids though.

Q: How far off the road do the trucks deliver? (Example- USPS will not drive more than 1/2 mi. driveway, UPS makes it all the way to the house). Thank you!

A: It depends on the freight company and unfortunately we don't know the answer to that until the freight company contact you to set up a delivery appointment. There are so many different carriers and they use connecting carriers so we are not able to say with certainty who that carrier be delivering it to your location. Therefore, we would not be able to say how close to your driveway they can get. I would imagine it would be similar to UPS.

A: We met the AFB short bed semi at a business lot close to.our home. We had a trailer hooked onto our van, and the truck driver was able to gently lower the swingsets box onto the trailer. We live on a busy highway, so there was no way he could back into our driveway, or turn around here. Very satisfied grandparents with our puchase and delivery from competitive edge products.

A: The poles are Constructed of powder-coated galvanized steel. Eventually all metal rusts, but the instruction manual explains how to help avoid rust and how to remove rust-then applying touch up paint.

A: The Swing area is basically the same on both of those swing-sets. I would recommend the 90143 because it has a slide, monkey bars, fireman pole, ladders, and an extra swing station compared to the 290038.

Q: Will the delivery person set the boxes on the ground by or on the driveway? I understand that he won't move them where necessary in the yard, but does he require assistance to get them off of the truck?

A: The freight company will call you a day or two in advance to set up a delivery appointment. Somebody does need to be there to sign for it and if possible to assist the driver and unloading some boxes one by one. It only takes a few minutes. The driver will have a pallet jack and in many cases will be able to roll it as close as possible to where you would like it. They call you to set up a delivery appointment and to get an idea of how the delivery will go-the size of your driveway, the general location, etc.

A: It depends on the overall temperature. The sun alone may not make it hot in the winter, but in the summer the temperature could become uncomfortably hot on the steel. It depends on where you're located. I have one of these in my backyard-in Utah where we have extreme summers and extreme winters and have never noticed excessive heat.

A: Equipment should be placed no less than 6 ft (1.8 m) from any structure or obstruction, such as a fence, building, electrical wires, or overhanging branches. A 14 ft 10 in. (4.5 m) clearance should be allowed in front and behind the swings. Total recommended safety zone dimensions are 33 feet 6 inches x 25 feet 10 inches (10.2 m x 7.9 m).

Q: Can you put the slide and monkey bars on either side of the swings or does it only assemble to the left?

Q: Should the swing set be anchored down? Just curious of how much motion might occur when older children are swinging?

A: This definitely does not need to be anchored. The footprint is wide enough that it could not possibly tip or rock. The anchor kit is available; however, because some preschools, day cares, churches, and schools require it by law.

A: We deliver it to you, but we do not do the installation. For what it's worth installation is quite simple. With 2 people you would be done in just a couple hours-and that's 2 people without assembly experience.

Q: Can I substitute a belt swing for the trapeze bar?

A: The belt swing and trapeze bars both attach the same way, via an S Hook. While a belt swing can be attached where the trapeze bar is, and vice versa, we cannot repackage this play set with another belt swing instead of the trapeze bar. However, you can purchase a matching Lifetime Products green belt swing here.

Regarding Shipping. Orders for the 90143 Lifetime earth tone monkey bar playset typically leave the warehouse in Clearfield, Utah within 2 business days. Delivery of this system are via an ltl carrier for a curbside delivery. This type of delivery requires the customer to be present to sign for the delivery and to move the product wherever needed on the delivery property. The driver will not assist with moving the boxes on the property so please plan accordingly. Delivery appointments are scheduled by the freight company for residential deliveries before delivery is attempted.
