Spalding Basketball Backboards provide an excellent solution when either replacing a current broken backboard or when setting up your court for the first time. The eco-composite material used on the 80348 provides a better longevity when compared with acrylic or polycarbonate backboards. The system also comes with a Slam Jam rim.

48 inch Eco-Composite Backboard

Fan-shaped structure.
48 inch wide eco-composite material.
Eco-composite provides a superior strength when compared to acrylic.
Comes with a Slam Jam rim.
Rim comes with an all-weather net.

Mounting and Height Adjustment

This backboard is designed to mount to a wall or pole using the proper mounting bracket.

Compatible mounting brackets are 8406SR, 8839s, and 88300S (not compatible with any other bracket model).
Height adjustable from 7.5 ft to 10 ft. in infinite increments when mounted to the 8839s bracket.

Good backboard

The backboard is nice and its cool that it is rounded at the top. The back of the board looks like a waffle. It's completely black on the backside

Backboard was as expected. . . . no surprises. The Packaging was very beat up upon arrival

A: Yes, it does come with pre drilled holes, but they only mount to existing Spalding/Huffy brackets. To determine compatibility you will want to reach out to Spalding at 800-558-5234.

Q: Does the backboard come with all nuts and bolts, brackets etc. to attach board to the pole? I have a portable unit I purchased back in 1988 the whole unit is still good but backboard busted and no good. I like the stile of the stand don't want to purchase new one just backboard, and rim but I need all bolts etc.

A: The bracket comes with the bolts and things necessary to attach a backboard to one of our compatible brackets. However, you will need to call 1-800-558-5234 if you want a replacement backboard to attach to an existing bracket.

Q: What size pole you need to use with this BACKBOARD AND RIM?

A: You will need a mounting bracket to attach to this backboard. Both the 8406SR, and the 8839s will work with this and a 3.5 round pole. You could also get the 88300S which comes with a pole.

Q: Can this backboard be mounted directly to a garage wall ? does the back board have 4 holes? and what is the dimensions between holes top and bottom and side to side? I took down a backboard and I am looking to replace it .

A: It cannot be mounted directly to a garage wall. You would need brackets to attach it to a wall. The falling brackets that are compatible with this backboard include 8406SR, 8839S, and the 88300S. All of those nail to a wall. Some are adjustable and some are fixed height. On the backboard there is a hole in the upper left in the upper right quadrant as well as holes for the rim to attach to the backboard. Feel free to contact us with any other questions
